Manager, Cloud Operations Infrastructure

OPPORTUNITY HIGHLIGHTS:

• Manage a team of approx. 5 infrastructure administrators focusing on the tools and platforms used in a hosting environment
• Installing, maintaining and monitoring of Infrastructure supporting platforms:
• Globalscape sFTP servers
• Sendmail SMTP
• Citrix XenApp/XenDesktop
• Windows Server OSs 2008R2 through 2016
• Windows Active Directory, DNS, NTP, Licensing
• Linux Server OSs CentOS
• VMWare server deployments, configuration and template management
• Public Cloud (AWS/Azure) server deployments and configurations
• Documentation of procedures
• Oversee OS Patching
• Coordinate maintenance window activities

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

• Excellent communication, problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to perform under extreme pressure
• Ability to lead and direct a small team of systems administrators
• Professional manner with strong interpersonal skills; a team player and a relationship builder
• Self-directed work habits, applied with creativity, resourcefulness, and a sense of personal responsibility
• Ability to communicate information and ideas clearly and concisely, orally and in writing
• Ability to think strategically and plan for innovation/change; flexibility/adaptability
• Excellent listening skills
• Ability to mentor junior resources

Technologies

• Advanced knowledge of Windows Server OSs, Active Directory, DNS, NTP, KMS, DFS
• VMware and VCenter functional expertise
• Understanding of peripheral technologies: Networking, Storage, Security, Applications
• Knowledge of windows scripting and programming languages a plus
• Good knowledge of statistical analysis, numerical analysis, plotting and trending tools
• Knowledge of enterprise systems performance monitoring and administration tools
• Good understanding of Disaster Recovery and advanced data replication
• Advanced level of desktop application skills (Word, Outlook, Excel, Visio )
• Ability to learn new technologies and applications quickly as new application skills are required for the position
• Requested Educated & Experience
• Post-secondary education in a related field or an equivalent combination of training and experience. The candidate will have at least five to seven years of system administration experience. Experience supporting 7x24 hosting environments for enterprise 1000 customers is a strong asset. Familiarity with the back-end design and administration of computer-based training systems is required.

Certification

• MCSE or VMware or Linux certifications are a plus.
