Role Description The Product and Application Specialist is a cross functional, customer facing role. The person in this role will be responsible for understanding how instruments and informatics applications are used within the scientific lab environment and using that knowledge to support creation and configuration of Scitara DLX Connectors and Orchestrations for demo purposes and may support the services team as well. Works alongside a sales and PM to understand a customer s business challenges and creates a solution prototype on DLX to present back to their decision makers, illustrating value and benefits via an engaging story. This role occupies a critical space between lab applications and the manual workflows currently happening within the lab and the ability of the Scitara DLX platform to automate those workflows in support of digital transformation and digital data exchange. Direct interaction with the Scitara Development, Quality, Service and Product Management teams is in scope. Direct Customer interaction and participation in customer facing meetings and demonstrations is a key part of this function. Key Responsibilities Applies understanding of lab applications and workflows to support Scitara DLX Connector and Orchestration development and configuration in support of customer demonstrations and deployments. Interfaces with vendor partners and customers to understand their workflow needs and develop internal service capability to deliver these services. Supports the service team and sales with Orchestrations for customers in production and for customer demo s, including javascript Act as a subject matter expert with respect to lab workflows and applications Deliver customer/partner trainings, product presentations and demonstrations. Participate as SME in custom demonstrations, define Proof of Concepts (POC) implementation plans and deliver POC s. Working knowledge of Standard Instruments and Instrument software used in the Industry (eg Balance, pH meter, Empower, Chromeleon, Unicorn etc.) Desired Skills Knowledge of and experience using analytical instrumentation, software and services common in laboratory environments (i.e. liquid chromatography, mass spectrometry, optical spectroscopy, automated sample preparation) Knowledge of and experience interfacing the above applications with other applications in the lab including LIMS, E-Notebooks or data lakes Bioprocess knowledge a plus Broad knowledge of typical laboratory domains and workflows Understanding of Lab IT service support needs Knowledge of modern software development processes and technologies (i.e. Agile methodologies, software process tools such as and Jira, Git, working knowledge of software tools and languages used in laboratory informatics (i.e. javascript, NodeJS, Pvthon and .Net) is a plus Excellent written and verbal communication skills Excellent teamwork skills Ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
