Job Summary

Job Description:

  • Providing user-level support and technical support for the existing applications and new applications that are put to production use on regular basis.
  • Execute/co-ordinate application Installations, patch deployment on UAT/Pre-Prod and Production Servers.
  • Troubleshooting of technical issues of the applications for quick resolution as per the SLA/ TAT.
  • Monitoring of application performance & logs.
  • User administration for the applications.
  • Providing necessary support during UAT and other types of testing of the assigned applications.
  • Execution of routine maintenance activities and scheduled jobs of the applications required to ensure uptime.
  • Identify & resolve production issues independently or in-coordination with Developers/Vendors/Server Admin/Network Admin/Database Admin and Desktop engineers based on type of problem in hand.
  • Vendor coordination for onsite/offsite technical supports for applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for providing SLA-based user support and technical support for the assigned applications of the company.
  • Need to able to apply strong technical skills and good business knowledge, together with investigative techniques and problem solving skills to identify and resolve issues in a timely and high quality manner.
  • Responsible for preparing & maintaining Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) of application support processes.
  • Responsible for preparing & maintaining user manuals and other related documentations of the applications.
  • Must work closely with Project Managers/ Business Analysts of the concerned applications to ensure that new releases / updates/ changes are implemented as per the planned timeline.
  • Coordination with IT infra team for resolution and escalation of the issues.
  • Must work closely with the applications owners/ managers for addressing various audit observations.
  • Must work closely with the developers of the concerned applications to ensure that the SOP/FAQs required to manage releases & technical support are up to date.

Experience & Skill requirements:

  • Must have minimum 3 years of experience of hands-on application support & deployment, preferably in the domains of asset management/ banking/ insurance/ financial services.
  • Prior experience of supporting applications such as MFund, Quantis, Wealthspectrum, Moneyware Integra, Bloomberg, Treasury applications, NDS OM, TREPS, e-KUBER, etc. will be an added advantage.
  • Prior experience of installation & troubleshooting of application/browsers/database client software.
  • Good understanding of application support processes.
  • Prior experience of databases (MS-SQL & Oracle).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite of Products such as MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Visio, Outlook, etc.
  • Basic knowledge of front-end programming languages such Microsoft .net, Javascript, Jscript, Excel Macros, etc.
  • Knowledge of SQL query writing in PL/SQL developer/Toad/SQL Tools and SQL Management Studio is preferred.
  • Natural ability to learn with a keen interest in technology.
  • Excellent Analytical and Documentation Skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-starter willing to pick up issues and making sure they are followed through to completion.
  • Excellent team player is a must.

Education & Qualification:

  • Bachelor s degree or diploma in Information Technology, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
Experience Required :

Minimum 3 Years
