SUMMARY

The DMO Market Unit team member is a delivery specialist in Customer Success Services (formerly DBS), who provides analytical insights and brings business and delivery management experience to key Delivery Management Office (DMO) stakeholders.

Key responsibilities of the DMO function include:

  • Provides clear insights to the health of the Market Unit portfolio
  • Drive delivery performance and oversight of the Market Unit delivery portfolios
  • Ensure all delivery engagements operate within the agreed financial KPIs of Revenue, Margin and Contribution
  • Stop margin dilution, contribution and revenue loss across the delivery portfolio
  • Strengthen alignment of regional and global initiatives to Market Units through:

-Driving Simplification and standardization at all levels

- Enablement and roll out of delivery standards, methods and tools

  • Manage Performance Score Card & KPIs

The DMO Market Unit Team Member operates with integrity, openness and transparency within Services. They maintain active participation in internal and customer engagement governance structures and forums. A strong relationship builder, they develop trustful relationships with SAP Management across the full Market Unit delivery portfolio.

The DMO Market Unit Team Member has a direct reporting line to the Regional Head of DMO with a dotted reporting line to the DMO Market Unit Lead.

THE ROLE

General:

  • Strong and interpersonal skills; the ability to work well with people from different disciplines with varying degrees of technical experience; competence in clear concise and tactful communication with senior executive management, clients, peers and team members.
  • Strong written communication, meeting facilitation skills; ability to utilize a combination of formal authority and persuasion skill sets.
  • Adaptability and flexibility to manage deadline pressure, ambiguity and change.

Delivery Management:

  • Tightly monitor revenue, margin and contribution across the MU delivery portfolio, work with the portfolio owner to take corrective action to ensure commitments are met. Monitoring profit dilution, correct distribution of revenue and costs, including distributed and undistributed revenue
  • Provides insights through collecting and analysing data points from our various internal data sources, and presenting results in a way that informs our management team of overall health and supports decision making
  • Understand the engagement status quickly and be able to identify and provide transparency on key issues and risks and develop appropriate action plans. Actively support and manage risk to prevent escalations
  • Actively participate in Governance forums with the Engagement Leads, Market Unit and Regional Leadership, Regional Delivery Execution (RDE) Team
  • Proficiency in key project management knowledge areas of project integration management, scope management, cost management, quality management,
  • Oversees lessons learnt being captured and shared through the appropriate channels
  • Orchestrates the Set-Up Service across the Market Unit for new business sold

Operational Excellence

  • Ensure tracking and realization of the financial targets and other KPIs
  • Ensure quality of data points in our core systems through regular auditing and presentation of results to the MU s
  • Drive tracking and realization of action items out of reviews, deep dives and escalation recover plans
  • Champion compliance across the Market Unit in utilizing internal tools and adhering to processes to support engagement
  • Mandate the use of methods and best practice to support quality outcomes and manage exceptions
  • Champion the adoption of SAP s Engagement Management Methodologies, best practices, examples and templates with a fit to standard mindset

ROLE REQUIREMENT

  • 3+ years in delivery management, governance roles or business analytics roles
  • Experience in project quality management and defining delivery standards and processes to drive successful and high-quality project delivery desirable
  • Strong financial and business acumen
  • Knowledge and skills to identify and manage risks, issues, scope and quality on our Services projects
  • Proven to successfully operate and align across internal and external stakeholders on various levels
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills
  • Cultural awareness and experience working across different cultures and nationalities
  • Strong interpersonal skills with advanced networking capabilities and business development skills
  • Show high growth potential
