Sannam S4 is seeking an experienced Program Manager for a one-year assignment under the Asia EDGE SAREH. This position is based in New Delhi, India with occasional travel to Washington, DC and other South Asia countries. The Program Manager will report to the SAREH Chief of Party and will coordinate closely with the USAID/India Mission in New Delhi, India
The potential candidate should have experience in working in the Energy and Power Sector.

Job Responsibilities:
1. Management support on SAREH activities
Coordinating with USEA and the COP on overall program management.
Assisting in determination of information needs, agendas, annual work plans, budgets, schedules, reports, and other documents.
Developing and implementing new activities to support the strategic direction of SAREH.
Identifying short term activities in accordance with the annual work plan.
Ensuring timely and quality execution of project team deliverables.
Standardizing recurring activities by defining processes related to SAREH s area of work coordination, communication and technical services.
Working with the COP to assist in planning, organizing, distributing, and coordinating the flow of work, with oversight by USEA.
Handling all necessary protocol arrangements for program activities.
Managing the secretariat services of SAREH for Asia EDGE coordination, Distribution Utility Network, and other future activities where SAREH will provide the secretariat services.
2. Organization and implementation of capacity building events
Organizing and implementing program activities in accordance with the work plan.
Preparing program/activity schedules and arrangements for webinars, seminars, workshops, conferences, exchange visits, training sessions, and other program activities.
Handling all necessary protocol arrangements for program activities.
Attending conferences and workshops, and deliver presentations on behalf of SAREH, when required.
Preparing post event reports, budget sheets and other reporting materials.
3. Subcontractor management and compliance as per USAID/USEA rules
Recommending consultants/subcontractors and coordinating consulting/subcontracting work execution as required.
Ensuring subcontractor s compliance with USAID requirements and regulations.
Providing technical oversight to subcontractors and staff under SAREH, when requested.
4. Information collection, documentation, and reporting
Coordinating with partners and USAID missions to seek information related to upcoming events, website updates, etc.
Overseeing and preparation of timely reports monthly /quarterly/annual (work plan, MEL, progress reports, budget reports, etc.)
Monitoring and evaluating (M&E) all programming, in accordance with SAREH s MEL plan and in coordination with USEA s MEL Specialist.
Support in drafting reports and articles related to SAREH program activities and on topics relevant to the South Asia energy sector.
5. Build and manage relationships with project implementation partners, collaborators and stakeholders by:
Support coordination with USAID, including the India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Nepal missions and USAID South Asia implementing partners (both existing and forthcoming).
Support coordination with other Asia EDGE stakeholders, including other USG agencies supporting the initiative.
Liaising and coordinating with key stakeholders in India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Maldives, Bhutan, and Nepal, and other South Asia countries, including private sector entities, national governments, international donors, financial institutions, and civil society organizations.
Traveling as needed to coordinate with other Asia EDGE hubs, USAID missions and stakeholders to coordinate SAREH activities.

Candidate Attributes: Education
Bachelor s degree in engineering/energy/international development or another relevant field. Master s degree in engineering/economics/ /management or equivalent is desirable.
Experience
Minimum seven (7) years of international development experience with prior experience in USAID-funded or other international-donor-funded programs.
Demonstrated track record in private sector engagement in technical and financing coordination.
Experience in coordination with a variety of organizations with parallel objectives, such as multilateral donors, UN organizations, other international development bilateral organizations and nonprofits/NGOs, preferred.
Experience working in the South Asia region with key stakeholders on energy-related projects, with experience in India strongly preferred.
A minimum of 7 years project management experience.
Ability to travel to all South Asian countries and the U.S. and possible other countries
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Energy and power sector knowledge, especially within the South Asia region.
Excellent English oral and written communication skills. Proven ability to effectively communicate with others.
Good interpersonal skills with ability to build strong relationships with staff, current and potential donors, partners, and government representatives at all levels in a culturally sensitive manner.
Excellent project management skills.
Experience coordinating international workshops, conferences, executive exchanges, and technical assistance projects.
Proven flexibility and adaptability.
Proven ability to learn quickly, apply knowledge, manage deadlines, work independently with minimal supervision on familiar assignments, submit high-quality products, prioritize workload, and multi-task in fast-paced environment.
Strong team-management approach to program support and program development.
Ability to integrate management approach with professional peers.
Accuracy and attention to detail.
Ability to travel up to 20-25% of time to/from sites in South Asia and Washington, DC.
