Key Responsibilities
Work closely with the Head of Digital and other business stakeholders to create and deliver the product data management strategy in line with overall digital strategy and wider business aspirations
Administrate both the Production and Test Product Information Management (PIM) systems and data models ensure maximum uptime
Work closely with the merchandiser and external agency to ensure that SEO requirements are met to increase our visibility within the major search engines by matching our data to demand
Manage integrations to all digital channels
Proactively improve data (or image, etc.) models to support the strategy
Identify opportunities and drive forward the roadmap for the PIM system and associated data model improvements through automation and smart processes
Write user stories and test scripts and work with both System Integrators and Developers on improving data management processes via automation where strong ROIs exist
Project manage PIM system improvements
Manage annual PIM development and support budget
Manage the relationship with PIM system provider to ensure change is delivered and SLAs are achieved
Work closely with IT team on internal system and integration improvement projects
Manage all aspects product data from creation through to EOL
Day to day management of image and document digital assets
Manage BAU data management and all bulk imports, exports or updates to product data
Ensure accurate product data is fed to all Company branded online and print channels
Manage solution and process for sharing product data with all partners
If applicable, work with translation partners to manage product copy in 20+ languages for international traded products
Conduct regular audits of product data and digital assets
Measure, analyse and report on the accuracy of product data highlighting areas for continued improvement
Create and distribute reports with insight to monitor and highlight issues suitable for the receiving audience
Evaluate and prioritise internal data support queries ensuring that anything with immediate business or customer impact is dealt with as a matter of urgency
As the subject matter expert, where and when applicable train the relevant users on latest PIM developments and system changes
Support the creative and product teams in catalogue production
Minimum Qualification and Experience
- Graduate with more than 6 years of experience in product data management, with more than 4+ years experience in PIM systems and 2 years experience in managing similar product data teams
Mandatory Skills
Proven background working in a complex analytical product-based role
Experience of working with large ERP databases or managing large data sets
Knowledge of Catalogue Production processes
Experience of training audiences with various levels of technical ability
Ability to manage senior stakeholders and negotiate priorities and manage dependencies
Manipulation of data using tools such as Excel, Alteryx, or SQL
Strong commercial and business acumen
Able to use initiative and proactive
Successfully engages in multiple initiatives simultaneously
Strong supplier management skills.
