Technical Content Developer Job in Qualys, Inc.

Description

Qualys is looking for an experienced technical blog writer to create technical and marketing blogs along with technical white papers for our IT security solutions.

The candidate must possess background in technical white paper and blog writing with 5+ years content development experience for IT security products.

In this role you'll communicate internally with security researchers, developers and product management to create online blogs, technical white papers and other written marketing content that helps our customers get a detailed understanding of our research as well product objectives, feature usage and concepts in a simple and easy way.

The ideal candidate has worked with networking and/or security products and should be passionate about creating helpful technical content in a modern way.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

Technical
* Experience and/or understanding of modern cyber security vulnerabilities/attacks.

* Ability to evaluate new and evolving blog, white paper writing technologies.

* Solid understanding of all sections related to the anatomy of a blog/white paper.

* Ability to research on the product features, feature objectives, to write the content in an effective way

* Ability to utilize reporting tools for analysis of traffic, referral links and reader demographics

* Knowledge and understanding of current editing, authoring tools, and related blog technologies.

* Ability to utilize computerized word processing, blogging and internet software.

* Solid foundation in search engine optimization (SEO) and implementing RSS technology

* Knowledge and understanding of internet operations and functionality

* Ability to evaluate new and evolving blogging technologies.

* Skill in the use of computerized blog layout and design software.

* Topical knowledge of html, web development and maintenance.

Writing

* Proofreading and editing skills.

* Ability to research, create, compose, and edit written materials.

* Ability to write simply with a conversational style

* Writing should be informative, but not verbose

Project Management

* Ability to effectively manage time and schedules in a fast moving environment.

* Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.

* Strategic planning skills to understand product features roadmap and align the content writing work.
