With its high-performance, power-efficient SoC and AI technologies, Snapdragon Ride is enabling safer and more efficient autonomous driving systems.

The Software Test and Quality Infrastructure team is responsible for defining and implementing test frameworks and software quality infrastructure for the automated driving projects. Qualcomm is seeking skilled, motivated individuals to join the ADAS vehicle validation team. The chosen candidate will have the opportunity to validate L2+ level ADAS technology with a leading Indian car manufacturer.

Key Responsibilities

  • Test the ADAS Software Platform: Perform system integration, error guessing, configurability testing, issue reproducibility, exploratory testing, and feature combination tests.
  • Vehicle Parameter Tuning: Tune vehicle parameters to ensure optimal performance of ADAS functionalities.
  • ADAS Features: Familiarity with features such as AEB (Autonomous Emergency Braking), Lane Assist, Blind Spot Assist, Adaptive Cruise Control, Traffic Sign Recognition, and Collision Avoidance.
  • Knowledge of Vehicle Functions: Work with connected ECUs (Electronic Control Units) such as ESP, EPS, EMS, BCM, TCM, and vehicle dynamics.
  • Test Case Design: Develop comprehensive test plans, cases, scenarios, scripts, and procedures to ensure full coverage of ADAS features.
  • Functional Safety: Ensure compliance with Functional Safety standards (e.g., ISO26262).
  • Communication Protocols: Working knowledge of protocols like CAN and Ethernet, and familiarity with Gateways is a plus.
  • Radar/Camera Systems: Experience in testing and tuning radar/camera systems used in ADAS features is preferred.
  • Diagnostics and Fault Handling: Familiarity with UDS protocol, fault access, and calibration tools is preferred.
  • Requirement Management: Collaborate closely with requirement management teams to review and ensure the completeness and correctness of test cases.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Test Engineering or related work experience.
  • OR Master s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of Software Test Engineering or related work experience.
  • OR PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 1+ year of experience in Software Test or System Test, developing and automating test plans/tools such as Source Code Control, Continuous Integration Tools, and Bug Tracking Tools.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Expertise in ADAS Features: Experience with AEB, Lane Assist, Blind Spot Assist, Adaptive Cruise Control, and other advanced ADAS features.
  • Vehicle Functions: Hands-on experience with ECUs like ESP, EPS, EMS, BCM, TCM.
  • Communication Protocols: Good knowledge of CAN/Ethernet and experience working with Gateways.
  • Radar/Camera Systems: Proficiency in camera tuning and working with Radar systems.
  • Functional Safety: Experience with ISO26262 compliance for ADAS software testing.
  • Vehicle Dynamics: Understanding vehicle dynamics for ADAS testing.
  • Test Tools: Experience with CAPL scripts, UDS protocol, and calibration tools.
