General Summary

Qualcomm is leading the transformation of the automotive industry through its Snapdragon Digital Chassis, including the Snapdragon Ride platform, designed to tackle the complexities of autonomous driving and ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems). Snapdragon Ride provides high-performance, power-efficient SoCs and industry-leading artificial intelligence (AI) technologies, along with an innovative vision and drive policy stack to offer a cost-effective, energy-efficient systems solution.

As part of this transformation, Qualcomm is looking for talented and motivated individuals with a strong background in vehicle testing and ADAS software platforms. This role is an exciting opportunity to validate L2+ level ADAS technology for a leading Indian car manufacturer, working with state-of-the-art technologies in autonomous driving.

Key Responsibilities

  • Test the ADAS Software Platform: Perform integration testing, error guessing, configurability testing, issue reproducibility, exploratory testing, and feature combination tests within HIL/SIL (Hardware-in-the-Loop/Software-in-the-Loop) environments.
  • ADAS Features: Test and validate key ADAS features such as AEB (Autonomous Emergency Braking), Lane Assist, Blind Spot Assist, Adaptive Cruise Control, Traffic Sign Recognition, Collision Avoidance, etc.
  • Vehicle Functions: Ensure the functionality of connected ECUs (Electronic Control Units) such as ESP, EPS, EMS, BCM, TCM, and work with vehicle dynamics to ensure ADAS system integration.
  • Test Plan Design: Develop test plans, cases, scenarios, scripts, and procedures to ensure complete coverage of feature requirements for ADAS systems.
  • Vehicle Dynamics & Communication Protocols: Apply knowledge of vehicle dynamics and communication protocols such as CAN/Ethernet.
  • Radar/Camera Systems: Conduct testing and validation of Radar and Camera systems integral to ADAS.
  • Fault Handling & Diagnostics: Work with UDS protocol, fault access, and calibration tools to ensure diagnostics and fault handling in ADAS systems.
  • Compliance with Functional Safety: Ensure compliance with ISO26262 functional safety standards for ADAS testing.
  • Requirement & Test Case Review: Collaborate with teams on requirement management and review of test cases to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Scenario Creation for HIL/SIL: Construct new maneuver scenarios in HIL/SIL environments and work with both open loop and closed loop testing.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Test Engineering or related work experience.
  • OR Master s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of Software Test Engineering or related work experience.
  • OR PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 1+ year of experience in Software Test or System Test, particularly in developing and automating test plans/tools such as Source Code Control, Continuous Integration Tools, and Bug Tracking Tools.
