Software Quality Assurance Engineer Job in Platform9 Systems, Inc.

Position Summary: We are looking for a Software Engineer with proven expertise in testing large scale, distributed cloud based systems in a continuous integration environment. The engineer in this role will drive and influence quality initiatives within product development teams. Roles and Responsibilities: Work closely with product development engineers to design new tests for new features and products, analyze existing test coverage, identify gaps and add missing tests. Write automated tests and integrate them with CI/CD systems. Work on test infrastructure to design, implement and run functional, integration and scale tests. Encourage and build a quality focussed culture within engineering teams. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science or related discipline. Extensive relevant work experience is also acceptable. 3-6 years of experience in developing automated tests in a continuous integration environment for large scale systems. Key Skills: Proficiency in writing reliable and maintainable code in Python or Go Experience with continuous integration systems like Jenkins or Teamcity Experience with linux based systems Experience with cloud / containerisation technologies, preferably Kubernetes.
