Big Data Lead Job in Persistent Systems

About the Position

We are looking for a Big Data Lead who will be responsible for managing large-scale datasets that are too big for traditional database systems to handle. You will design, implement, and optimize data processing jobs to transform data into usable formats while ensuring that it is secure and complies with industry standards. Key Responsibilities

• Project Management: Manage customer priorities, handle project requests, and assess business needs using structured requirements gathering, analysis, and documentation.
• Data Architecture & Design: Design and implement Big Data solutions, including data models and visualizations, to meet business objectives.
• Collaboration & Teamwork: Work with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions on tight timelines while continuously improving capabilities.
• Proactive Approach: Suggest new approaches and develop your expertise to contribute to the team s overall success.
• Knowledge Sharing: Share your knowledge and experience while learning from others to improve the team s overall performance.
• Value Delivery: Ensure solutions add value back into the business, focusing on meeting customer needs and driving innovation.

Required Expertise

• Experience: 6+ years of experience in designing and developing enterprise applications for distributed systems.
• Big Data Technologies:
  • Proficiency in Big Data Hadoop Ecosystem (Sqoop, Hive, Pig, Flume).
  • Experience with Hadoop, HDFS, cluster management, and Hadoop ecosystem frameworks.
  • Familiarity with HBase, Talend, and NoSQL databases.
  • Knowledge of Apache Spark or other streaming Big Data processing technologies.
• Programming Skills: Strong Java or experience with other Big Data technologies is a plus.
