Senior Software Engineer Job in Pepsico
Role Overview:
The Senior Software Engineer will play a crucial role in software development and long-term planning across the Strategy & Transformation (S&T) organization. Software engineering is at the heart of PepsiCo s digital transformation, and this position will support end-to-end software development processes, delivering high-quality software as part of the DevOps pipeline.
In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver software solutions that generate value through cost savings and incremental improvements. You will work closely with product, IT, and process engineering teams to develop and prioritize solutions aligned with S&T s core priorities.
Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the vision and development of digital products and solutions (DPS) across S&T core priorities.
- Design, develop, and deploy cutting-edge applications aligned with organizational goals.
- Work closely with product managers, Scrum masters, and team leads to implement user stories according to development standards.
- Support the software development strategy by utilizing industry standards, creating roadmaps, and implementing solutions based on business needs.
- Enhance DPS capabilities by building services-driven digital solutions that leverage data and AI to deliver personalized, automated experiences.
- Troubleshoot and resolve delivery impediments, risks, issues, and changes related to engineering initiatives.
- Collaborate with key business partners to recommend solutions that align with the strategic goals of the business.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in software engineering, with a focus on full-stack development.
- Proficiency in modern development frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.
- 1+ years of experience in mobile app development (iOS/Android).
- Exposure to both relational (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Couchbase) databases is a plus.
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies with experience leading cross-functional teams.
- Proven problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage mission-critical systems in a fast-paced environment.
- Solid understanding of software design principles, patterns, and best practices.
