Report Developers Job in Patra Corporation

Patra is seeking well-organized, detail-oriented database programmers to work collaboratively with Patra business units to define and develop custom reports and visualization dashboards that deliver information to support the evolving business; to maintain responsibility for designing and developing reports and analytics using Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), Power BI and supporting technologies; to analyze report requirements and design and leverage experience with delivering report solutions; to analyze data models, data relationships, and dependencies; to provide report recommendations based on findings; to design and develop stored procedures and views necessary to support SSRS reports; and to perform functional and performance testing, design, develop, and validate reports using SQL server and to create and maintain report documentation for reports.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Report Developers will be part of the Analytics/Reporting and Database team responsible for creating operational reports, executive dashboards, data mining for enterprise decision support, as well provide data support for Patras improvement initiatives using Microsoft SQL Server, Power BI and Intuit QuickBase. They must collaborate with the Data Architect Manager, application analysts, and report end-users to analyze, provide specifications, and write individual reports. Primary responsibility for report development and analysis, including data validation.

REQUIREMENTS

• BA/BS in Computer Science or related field is preferable. Equivalent combination of experience, education and training will be considered
• Experience working with Microsoft SQL Server 2008, 2012 and 2014
• Must be proficient writing and maintaining reports using SQL Server Reporting Services 2008/2012. Experience with 2014 a plus.
• Experience developing business dashboards, analysis and exposing data trends using Power BI
• Ability to develop and maintain SSIS packages experience in creating ETL (Extract, Transform and Load) and data transfer processes
• Minimum 3 years experience database programming (TSQL) and report writing
• Experience must include a strong grasp for relational databases. Skills consisting of query optimization, development of views and stored procedures for creating reports
• Data modeling experience
• Ability to create complex SQL queries
• Solid English written and spoken communication skills
• Excellent documentation skills
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Tools including Word, Excel, and Access

DESIRED

• Experience with multiple platforms (MSSQL, Reporting Services, Power BI, Crystal Reports, Sybase & QuickBase) a plus
• Requires strong analytical, conceptual and problem-solving abilities
• Programming / scripting experience and knowledge of software development life cycle is preferred.
• 3+ years experience developing and implementing enterprise-scale reports and dashboards, including:
  • Working with users in a requirements analysis role
  • Extensive experience with data warehouse implementations
  • Knowledge of logical and physical data modeling concepts (relational and dimensional)
