The Sr. Manager/Manager, Service Delivery is a senior level position with accountability across all aspects of the technical service delivery organization. The Sr. Manager/Manager will report to the Country Manager and will be expected to work closely with his counter-parts in the US to manage and drive transition of infrastructure management activities into a remote model, and provide oversight over all aspects of quality and service levels. Specific responsibilities include; Conceptualize, Plan, Design, Automate, Transition and Deliver Managed Services for existing data centers in the US. Build and manage the various on-site/ off-site teams and direct all related People/ Process and Technology competencies Lead in the technologyion and organizational build-up efforts. Formalize internal process to ramp-up expertise of resources in the offshore centers.
Minimum Requirements
Maximum of 10 yrs of experience out of which at least 5+ years of Datacenter Operations and Management at senior management level. Exposure and experience in Managing experts/ technology in the area of: Unix and Windows OSs / Networks / Databases / Storage / Servers / / Security / Messaging (Exchange/Notes) Comfortable in a fast-paced high-pressure rapidly evolving entrepreneurial environment. Experience in IT Outsourcing responsible for delivery OR Experience in Telco delivering Managed Services. Exposure to 3-tier Architecture Design/ Optimization and Fine-Tuning Experience in deployment of Enterprise Management Systems in Complex Organizations preferably using HP, BMC, Tivoli or similar EMS solutions Exposure and experience in Managing experts/ technology in the area of: Mid-range RISC Systems -Sun and HP Database- Oracle/SQL Enterprise Management Tools Networks -Cisco Intel Systems -Enterprise Windows/ High-end Cluster Server Farms Certification in ITIL Best Practices/ Project Management Institute Strong Leadership, Team Building, and Decision Making skills Expertise in Defining Process and Task Distribution and ensure the implementation within the Service Delivery Organization; exposure to ITIL Best Practices is necessary Expertise in Systems and Applications Management with a minimum of 7 years in proactive management of Mission Critical Systems delivering 99.99%-99.999% plus infrastructure availability. Excellent verbal and written communication skillsEducationRequires B.S. Degree. MBA preferred and certifications are a plus.Travel RequirementsWilling to travel up to 30%
