Palo Alto Networks is seeking a motivated Collections Analyst III to join our high-growth team in Bangalore, India. The ideal candidate should possess strong critical thinking and communication skills. This role is part of the Global Credit and Collections team and plays a key role in managing cash collections for a subset of our trade receivables portfolio, as well as maintaining relationships with our external customers.
Your Impact
- Take full responsibility for collections on an assigned portfolio of accounts.
- Coordinate with global teams, particularly those in the US, to align processes.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to ensure timely payments.
- Organize and lead conference calls with customers, supporting team leaders as needed.
- Drive customer account reviews and collaborate with management.
- Actively encourage timely payments and resolve any issues, including invoice discrepancies and debit/credit reconciliations.
- Work cross-functionally with teams such as Accounts Receivable, Sales, IT, Tax, and Business Units to resolve collection-related matters.
- Monitor customer accounts for past-due balances.
- Ensure compliance with SOX 404 controls.
Your Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field with at least 5 years of experience (or 6+ years of related experience without a degree, preferably in a high-tech company or equivalent military background).
- Experience with SAP ERP systems.
- Strong business acumen with proficiency in written and spoken English; additional languages are a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- A critical thinker with a problem-solving mindset and the ability to assess risk.
- Skilled at building relationships across various teams and implementing new processes.
- Strong organizational abilities with the capacity to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Excel; familiarity with Google Suite and GetPaid is a plus.
The Team
Our global Credit & Collections team, spread across the US and India, works daily to respond to both internal and external requests. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, accurate, and resourceful, with excellent organizational and time management skills. We collaborate closely with Accounts Receivable, Sales, Order Fulfillment, Revenue, and other teams to ensure timely customer payments.
