SQL Developer duties and responsibilities:

  • Development of high-quality database solutions.
  • Develop, implement and optimize stored procedures and functions.
  • Review and interpret ongoing business report requirements, research required data.
  • Analyze existing SQL queries for performance improvements, suggest new queries.
  • Develop procedures and scripts for data migration.
  • Provide timely scheduled management reporting.
  • Help, write and optimize in-application SQL statements.
  • Ensure performance, security, and availability of databases.
  • Prepare documentations and specifications.
  • Handle common database procedures such as upgrade, backup, recovery, migration, etc.
  • Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders.

SQL Developer requirements and qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience as a SQL Developer or similar role.
  • Strong proficiency with SQL and its variation among popular databases.
  • Excellent understanding of Oracle Database.
  • Knowledge of best practices when dealing with relational databases.
  • Capable of configuring popular database engines and orchestrating clusters as necessary.
  • Skilled at optimizing large complicated SQL statements.
  • Sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on company s success.
  • Critical thinker and problem-solving skills.
  • Capable of troubleshooting common database issues.
  • Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Git.
  • Knowledge of Java application with the database connections.
  • Team player.
  • Good time-management skills.
  • Great interpersonal and communication skills.
