Job Summary


Summary

The Email Marketing Manager at our company will be responsible for planning and developing our overall email marketing strategy. He/She will be responsible for managing the strategy, leading teams, and ensuring that the business goals are met.

He/She will be working with the latest marketing technology in collaboration with other teams.


Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage and build overall email marketing strategy & Oversee the process of managing marketing calendar, campaign creation, and pre-deployment activities for email campaigns;
  • Manage and report on email marketing campaigns and results; use results to determine ROI, make suggestions for improvements, and establish best practices
  • Create, deploy, and monitor email marketing campaigns using the Pardot marketing automation platform; including ad hoc email campaigns, and nurture/drip-based and trigger automated email communications
  • Proactively monitor marketing metrics (open rates/click-through/deliverability/etc.) and provide analysis of marketing campaigns and recommendations for enhancing the effectiveness
  • Ensure solid deliverability through monitoring inbox deliverability, unsubscribe/spam complaint rates, and other deliverability metrics
  • Performs day-to-day email marketing activities including, but not limited to, email campaign setup, scheduling, testing, tagging, and deployment of one-time, recurring, triggered, and dynamic content-driven campaigns
  • Manage Email Marketing campaigns utilizing the ESPs to nurture the consumers offer them relevant products and services;
  • Build consumer journeys based on known consumer data, signals, data attributes, and past behavioral actions;
  • Collaborate with the marketing team in coming up with ideas for blogs and email campaign content to support each consumer journey;
  • Work closely with analytics team, data providers, advertisers, and the internal emailers to devise various ways to segment and improve the utilization of data;
  • Analyze data to come up with actionable learnings from reviewing data analytics from past campaigns;
  • Collaborate with the executive team to effectively manage all internal email initiatives and processes;
  • Carrying out A/B testing on Adhoc and automated marketing campaigns to maximize results
  • Ensure emails follow industry standards and privacy policies
  • Manage resources - Train them, Motivate them and get the best out of them.

Minimum Requirements and Skills:

  • Must have an understanding of utilizing an Email Service Provider (ESP), for the purpose of sending email campaigns;
  • Effective time management and problem-solving;
  • Analytical and technical aptitude to perform decision modeling based on email and web analytics;
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams (e.g., IT, Internet Operations, Creative, Analytics);
  • Passionate about digital marketing concepts, practices, and programs supporting a basic to a strong understanding of email marketing;
  • Highly analytical with the ability to derive meaning through data analysis and reporting;
  • Ability to utilize A|B testing as means to test, optimize, and rapidly improve a campaign;


Working Knowledge and Skills Required

  • 7-10 year of hands-on experience in email campaign building and list selection preferred
  • Should have managed USD 100K in revenue. Should have worked with various advertising Networks.
  • Should have managed a team of 40 plus resources.
  • Good experience in B2C email marketing.
  • Experience with email tools (Exact Target, Hubspot, Marketo, Eloqua and Netcore, etc.)
  • Exceptional leadership skills
  • Knowledge of the latest digital marketing trends
  • Good understanding of database concepts and segmentation
  • Proactive, energetic personality; inquiring, investigative mind
  • Sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on the company s success

Experience

  • Experience with email tools (Exact Target, Hubspot, Marketo, Eloqua, and Netcore, etc.) highly desired
  • 7-10 year of hands-on experience in email campaign & strategy building
  • Experience with a major Email Service Provider (ESP) or CRM platform is required.ESP experience with ExactTarget/Salesforce Marketing Cloud preferred
  • Knowledge of best practices for creating email templates, dynamic content, testing methodologies, list segmentation, drip campaigns, deliverability, and CAN-SPAM laws
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and work around tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Education & Qualification

  • Bachelor s Degree in Business Management, Marketing and/or Communications;
