Cloud Packet Core Automation Solutions Architect

The Services Business Units Global Network Management Engineering team provides Professional Services in support of real-world deployments of advance solutions across the IP/Optical Network (ION) Business Line product portfolio.

POSITION DESCRIPTION

The team is seeking a highly skilled Solution Architect to aid in the development and delivery of the Cloud Packet Core Automation solution and provideprofessionalservicesfor NFV Management and Orchestrationprojects.

The selected candidate will have the opportunity to work on integration and automation solutions involving Nokias latest 4G and 5G solution portfolio.

The role will include the following responsibilities:

• Document established understanding of the project goals and requirements; and share the understanding between stakeholders.

• Keep connected with the Cloud Packet Core product managers to understand product and service roadmap and directions; stay informed about the latest product features and service offerings.

• Review existing business risks related to the implementation of solution design and ensures that such risks are mitigated.

• Provide consultation services forNFV Management and Orchestrationprojects.

• Authordesign documentation,operational or test documentation as required for the project.

• Provide consultinganddevelopment ofcustom VNF deploymentand life cycle managementartefacts (VNFD, HOT, playbooks, workflows)

QUALIFICATIONS

The successful candidate will have strong technical, interpersonal, communication and presentation skills as well as being energetic, results oriented and will have knowledge and experience with some or all of the following areas:

• Experience?in Consulting and providing professional services directly to external Customers, from Solution Consultation, Deployment Design, Testing and Customer Acceptance.

• Strong knowledge of ETSINetwork Function Virtualizationmodelwith focus on VNF Life Cycle Management

• StrongKnowledge of Cloud Computing concepts and platforms such as OpenStack andhypervisor technology (KVM,ESXi)

• Experience withNFVTOSCA YAML templates such as VNF Descriptors, Network Services Descriptors

• Experience creating Heat Orchestration Templates

• Experience in workflow languages such as mistral and commissioning tools like ansible playbooks

• Working with opensource software such asrabbitMQ,elasticsearch, glare,keycloak,nodejs,nginx, MariaDB, zookeeper, andvitragewould be an asset

• Knowledge of Network Management & API concepts and protocols such as NETCONF,YANG, OpenFlow, SNMP,REST, XMPP

• Comprehensive understanding and experience with IP/Optical networking, OSS, and SDN technologies and business, to be able to lead technical and business discussions with internal and external stakeholders

• Good understanding of 4G LTE and 5G network slicing would be an asset.

• Software developmenteducational background & experience: Object Oriented Design and Analysis, Java programming language,Perl, Python, Velocity Template Language, JavaScript,JMS, C++ Programming, JBoss application server, Internet based applications using XML, HTTP/s, SOAP, RESTful,Cucumber

• Experience on Nokias SROS, NSP, CBIS/CBAM Platforms would be an asset

• University degree or equivalent experience in engineering, sales, or related field with 8+ years experience

• Willingness to travel to customer sites 10-15% of the time
