Position Overview: Network Automation Architect

As a Network Automation Architect, you ll be at the forefront of designing and developing IT infrastructure solutions that align with Cepheid s performance expectations. In this role, you will be tasked with architecting, designing, and delivering automation platforms, including CI/CD pipelines, to support deployment automation, network operation functions, and day-two automation. You ll create detailed design documents that drive the development, implementation, and management of enterprise-grade networks deployed across Cepheid s global operations.

Based in Bengaluru, India, this role is part of the IT Infrastructure & Operations team, contributing directly to Cepheid s vision of delivering seamlessly connected diagnostic solutions globally.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, your core duties will include:

• Design, install, and maintain automation platforms for the infrastructure and operations group.
• Provide automation solutions for large-scale network deployments, real-time network monitoring, fault management, and self-healing responses.
• Develop comprehensive design, installation, and configuration documentation to support enterprise-level system deployments.
• Ensure security and compliance with critical infrastructure standards (e.g., PCI, PII, HIPAA).
• Lead and recommend projects aimed at expanding, enhancing, or improving network systems and infrastructure.
• Design and implement solutions focused on reducing operational costs or enhancing the employee experience.
• Stay at the cutting edge of emerging technologies and trends, ensuring you are driving innovation within the infrastructure domain.

Essential Requirements

To be successful in this role, you ll need:

• A Bachelor s degree (or higher) in Computer Science or a related field.
• At least 8+ years of relevant experience in IT infrastructure or network automation.
• Strong expertise in Ansible, Python, Terraform, or similar automation tools.
• Solid understanding of networking technologies such as routing, switching, DNAC, SDA, BGP, and more.
• Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and the flexibility to work outside standard business hours when required.
• Willingness to travel 5%-15% of the time, based on business needs.

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following skills are a plus:

• Familiarity with Cisco technologies and solutions.
• Experience working with SASE, Firewalls, Jira, and Confluence.
• Previous exposure to working in a large-scale enterprise environment with a global footprint.
