WHAT YOU WILL DO Collaborate closely and cross-functionally with Curriculum Development and Technical Trainers. Assist with proctoring expert level certification practical exams. Apply applicable OS patches, firmware, and upgrades on a regular basis; update administrative tools and utilities and configure/add new services, as necessary. Perform daily system monitoring, verify the integrity and availability of all resources, systems, and key processes, review system and application logs, and verify completion of scheduled jobs such as backups. Perform troubleshooting as required and lead problem-solving efforts, often involving outside vendors and other support personnel and/or organizations. Work with vendors to assist support activities. Repair and recover from software failures; coordinate and communicate with impacted constituencies. Provide recommendations for continuous integration improvements. Develop and maintain technical documentation and consistently apply best practices. Perform special projects as assigned. IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE 5+ years of related experience in lab environment administration and IaaS platforms including AWS, GCP and Azure. Proficiency in programming and scripting languages, such as Python, Shell, Perl, etc. is required. Automation experience in REST APIs, preferably using Python. Experience building automation frameworks. Passion for API testing, understand cloud technologies and cloud application work nature. Strong understanding of software quality testing and software development cycle. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Proven success working in dispersed, cross-functional, and international (time-shifted) teams. EDUCATION Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or other related science fields. Advanced degree is preferred.
