Job Summary

1. Role Priorities:a. New Product Developmentb. Process Improvement and Cost Optimizationc. Employee Developmentd. Strategic Planning2. Responsibilities:a. Develop and improve organization, processes and procedures to support strategic direction.b. Create initiatives to improve the key areas of the operation such as safety, quality, product costs, logistics, customer satisfaction and employee development. Establish goals and metrics to measure improvement in these areas.c. Developing and monitoring systems for improving functional performance.d. Participate in organization?s global strategic planning processe. Provide leadership through a 6-12 month planning cycle.f. Build, develop and manage organizations? leadership team to be capable of carrying out needed operations strategies and improving employee relations.g. Manage and optimize the new product development process to ensure new business opportunities are rolled out with the best speed possible.h. Execute the statutory and non-statutory responsibilities of a company director according to lawful and ethical standards.i. Undertake lead role in People Development Processes and make them integral to overall business strategy

Minimum Requirements

1. Essential Skills:a. Bachelor''s degree in Chemical Engineeringb. 15 plus years of managerial experience majority of which in project management over operations managementc. Preferred experience in a mid size Multinational companyd. Experience with manufacturing, quality and SHE best practices.e. Strategic orientationf. Leadership: a demonstrated ability to develop and lead people and get results through others.g. Planning: an ability to think ahead and plan over a 1-2 year time span.h. Entrepreneurship: an ability to mobilize cost-effective resources, take risks, set higher benchmarks and focus on excellence in every encounteri. Management: the ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.j. Problem analysis and problem resolution at both a strategic and functional level.k. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and a strong team player.l. Customer focusedm. Ability to manage changen. Stewardship of resourceso. Ability to handle and manage conflictsp.
