Staff Engineer (cloud) Job in Nagarro

Job Description:

We are seeking a Cloud Infrastructure Lead with proven experience in managing cloud infrastructure and designing scalable solutions. As a leader in the cloud infrastructure domain, you will guide a team of engineers while collaborating across multiple functions to deliver robust cloud solutions. You will also be responsible for ensuring the reliability, scalability, and security of our infrastructure, while mentoring junior engineers and driving continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Solution Design & Implementation:

  • Understand client business use cases and technical requirements, converting them into elegant technical designs that meet those requirements.
  • Translate requirements into clear development tasks and provide technical guidance to developers.
  • Define and document NFR (Non-Functional Requirements) considerations during project implementation.
  • Review architecture designs to ensure best practices are followed, focusing on scalability, extensibility, security, and user experience.

• Cloud Infrastructure Management:

  • Lead the development, deployment, and management of cloud-based solutions using Azure, Kubernetes, Terraform, and Jenkins.
  • Design and manage container orchestration using Kubernetes, including scaling, deployment, and troubleshooting.
  • Monitor and optimize application performance using tools such as New Relic and OpenTelemetry for observability and tracing.

• Leadership & Collaboration:

  • Provide technical mentorship and leadership to junior engineers, guiding them in cloud architecture and development best practices.
  • Foster collaboration within the team and across departments to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Evaluate various solution options and make decisions to ensure the selected solution meets business and technical requirements.
  • Conduct POCs (Proof of Concepts) to ensure technologies and designs align with client needs.

• Continuous Improvement & Troubleshooting:

  • Troubleshoot complex issues and perform systematic analysis to resolve problems quickly and efficiently.
  • Ensure high standards of quality, performance, and security are maintained at all times.

Required Experience & Skills:

• Experience: 7+ years of proven experience in cloud infrastructure management or similar roles.
• Cloud Technologies: Strong proficiency with Azure, Kubernetes, Terraform, Jenkins, and related cloud infrastructure services.
• Container Orchestration: In-depth experience with Kubernetes for container deployment, management, and scaling.
• Application Monitoring: Familiarity with New Relic for performance monitoring and OpenTelemetry for observability and tracing.
• Leadership Skills: Strong leadership, team management, and mentoring skills.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
• Certifications (Preferred): Relevant certifications such as Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or equivalent.
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure issues.

Educational Qualifications:

• Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
