Senior Software QA Engineer (Job code:QAM MC3)

Location: Ahmedabad

Qualification:

• BCA / MCA / M.Sc IT / B.E. / B.Tech / M.E. / M. Tech (Preferably in Computer Science) from a reputed college

Experience:: 3-5 Years

Musikaar is seeking an engineer to join its highly skilled engineering team. The job involves creating functional test cases, executing test cases, setting up various configurations required for testing the products on different versions of Windows OS, consolidating defects, updating bug tracking system and working with software developers to resolve issues. There will also be a need for enhancing test cases and automating test cases.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Write test cases that highlight workflow based scenarios
• Generate complex test environments for different products
• Work with Development teams as well as offshore QA resources to ensure test cases/test scripts are thorough and complete
• Execute tests and capture outcome to evaluate, validity, accuracy and reliability of results
• Responsible for designing and developing automated tools or frameworks
• Ensure testability in product features and measure code coverage data regularly
• Utilize innovative test technologies to develop product s testing strategy
• Perform debugging and troubleshooting in variety of local and remote testing environments
• Evaluate design requirements and coding for compliance with standards
• Track defects found during testing efforts and manage them through re-test cycles
• Believe in issue ownership, from identification through resolution

Required Skills:

• Well versed with different testing techniques and methodologies
• Programming knowledge (object oriented) of Python
• Familiarity with main Internet protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP, FTP, SMTP,POP3,ICAP)
• Experience in documenting test cases based on Functional Requirements
• Experience in Manual testing of desktop and distributed applications
• Knowledge of Windows system
• Prior experience in testing security/networking products is important
• Some Experience in automated testing
• Ability to judge and devise testing strategy on the go
• Consolidating defects and updating the bug tracking system
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
