Job Summary

Purpose of the role

Candidates should have experience in the apparel segment and in Menswear buying (Mandatory).
This job is responsible for managing sourcing of commodities at Pan India level.
The role exists to profitably source commodities from the best producing regions with an overall objective of increasing sales. Buyer also coordinates with buyer region in order to ensure effective sourcing.

Principal Responsibilities

Manage and maintain department merchandise financial forecast (OTB/Rolling forecast).
Sourcing
Costing
Vendor Negotiation
Take timely action to maximize sales profitability and inventory productivity.
Analyze product performance and drive recommendations on future assortments.
New Store Strategy for Category.
Product mix, Price mix for new store as per region.
Planning the Category assortment.
Keeping stocks in control / ample pipeline / request for refills.
Identifying product opportunities for growth.
Responsible for the top line and bottom line for their respective category.
Market Analysis / Competition bench marking
