Job Summary The Major Incident Manager is responsible for the end-to-end management of all IT major incidents. Their role and responsibilities are extremely varied and include (amongst others):

Evaluate whether the incident reported is a Major Incident and run it through MIM cycle
Leading, driving, facilitating and chairing all investigation activities, meetings, and conference calls
Engagement of necessary resolver team to restore services. MI communications to be sent on a timely manner to all concerned stake holders. Follow up with Vendors or System Managers for the MI Report after MI resolution. Responsible for keeping Major Incident/Disaster recovery documents and Contact lists updated.
Ability to take charge of Incidents and taskforces, keep the overview in heated situations and being able to take decisions, knowing that thousands of users depend on you.
As being the central team to manage major incidents it is required that all employees in Major Incident teamwork in a 24 x 7 setup.
Responsible for driving improvement in the Major Incident Management area by actively taking part of the Agile PI planning events. Responsible for streamlining the existing Major Incident Management process
Forming collaborative action plans with specific actions, roles and deadlines, and ensuring these are completed
Matrix management of people, processes and resources including third parties including resolving conflict to move forward to resolution
Being accountable for resolving the outage via workaround or permanent fix
Ensuring all administration and reports are maintained and up-to-date, including contacts information, technical diagrams, post major incident reviews
Supporting and nurturing process improvements and knowledge base improvements
Continually maintaining and developing tools and resources to manage major incidents effectively
Providing periodic major incident metrics reports
Leading, driving, facilitating and chairing all investigation activities, meetings, and conference calls related to major incidents. Responsible for ensuring that all tasks are executed in compliance with internal and external regulations, quality requirement and completed according to the agreed objectives.
Excellent communicator with the ability to create high quality verbal and written summaries that are comprehensive, accurate and focused on business partner understanding and impact.
Highly motivated team player with a successful track record of working collaboratively in a matrix organization.
Ability to lead with integrity and remain calm during stressful situations while managing multiple demands and changing priorities


Candidates must be flexible to work overnight and weekend coverage shifts.
Ready to work in Rotational shift
To begin with remote work later needs to work from office in Bangalore.
