Senior Test Analyst (netsuite) Job in Micro Focus Software Solutions India Pvt. Ltd.

Role Summary:

Micro Focus is looking for an experienced Offshore Senior Test Analyst NS with previous experience of testing SAAS releases and Complex Business projects. The candidate should have technical acumen and should be flexible enough to train and adapt to new technologies. Experience within both V Model and Agile is a must. Role would be based in IT Build and Deliver function primarily responsible for handling new projects/BAU projects. Team will also be responsible for Service Transition to RUN/Operations function of IT.

Key Responsibilities:

• Primary Skills: NetSuite Cloud ERP Testing/ERP Domain skills.
• Establish and evolve formal QA processes, ensuring that the team is using industry-accepted best practices.
• Oversee all aspects of quality assurance including establishing metrics, applying industry best practices, and developing new tools and processes to ensure quality goals are met.
• Act as key point of contact for all QA aspects of releases, providing QA services and coordinating QA resources internally and externally.
• Will lead the testing effort and/or team to plan, construct and execute release tests.
• Apply testing methodologies, principles, and processes to define and implement key metrics to manage and assess the testing process including test execution and defect resolution.
• Apply business and functional knowledge to meet the teams overall test objectives.
• Review functional design document to provide meaningful and timely inputs.
• Study technical documents and use them as an input for creating testing strategies/plans.
• Create comprehensive Test Plans, describing the testing scope, strategy, techniques, approach, and test data that you will use to test new features.
• Perform walk through of completed Test Plans with the entire sub-team. Coach and advice testers as required.
• Should be able to construct Smoke & Sanity Testing Suite to make sure all the major functionalities are functioning as per requirement.
• Able to perform Equivalence Partitioning and Boundary Value Analysis.
• Should also perform compatibility test analysis in case NetSuite integrated with third-party applications.
• A NetSuite test analyst should be familiar with load testing tools like LoadRunner to validate the complex flows which can offer inconsistent results in NetSuite.
• Apply the functionality knowledge and understanding to determine the impacted testing areas and come up with the relevant regression testing scope, plan, and timelines.
• Do automation planning towards automation testing of features assigned to a release.
• Take a stand and share views on the quality of feature under test, back it up with necessary data and metrics, use it to provide (or not provide) release sign off.
• Do defect analysis of bugs found in Production environment and come up with solutions to avoid these occurrences in the future.
• Assists in training of new users and grow the NetSuite skill set across the test organization.
• Ability to Define Test Scenario, design test cases for NetSuite to match approved design solutions.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor s or master s degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or another related discipline.
• 8+ years of ERP Testing experience as an integral team member on at least 1 full end to end implementations with NetSuite Cloud ERP in a QA Analyst role.
• 3+ years of experience with modules such as HCM, General Ledger (GL), Account Payable (AP), Account Receivable (AR), Fixed Assets (FA), Revenues, Inventory (INV).
• Broad understanding of database structure, table dependencies, and data elements with the ability to map functional elements to underlying tables, fields, and conditional criteria.
• Experience with NetSuite Suite Script Working knowledge of NetSuite's Cloud / SaaS based business software systems (ERP).
• Deep expertise on NetSuite, EERP platforms and experience in testing NetSuite related apps.
• Expertise on QA methodologies, process, and tools. Hands on experience of using tooling for Test Case Management, Defect Management and Task Management is required in this specifically Microfocus ALM is preferred.
• Previous Experience in handling SaaS based application testing and periodic SaaS Application upgrade testing is desirable. Experience on Product Testing.
