Job Description:

  • Plans organize and controls activities related to local/import of Food Ingredients and materials.
  • Analyzes market trends & create dashboards. Determine delivery conditions for present and future material availability/price, and prepares market analysis reports.
  • Work with purchasing staff to establish quality requirements from external suppliers
  • Ensure production/manufacturing processes meet national and international standards.
  • Make sure the company is working as effectively as possible to keep up with competitors. Specify quality requirements of raw materials with suppliers.
  • Work with operating staff to establish procedures, standards, and systems.
  • Obtain up to date commodity information for pricing and availability.
  • Provide support for released products, evaluate product field performance and reliability and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
  • Negotiate to price and communicate price changes to Management.
  • Provide forecasts to suppliers.
  • To arrange and prepare samples to be sent out for third-party analyses.
  • Prepare and analyze Request for Quote.
  • Develops and utilizes a system to evaluate vendor quotations. Should have appropriate negotiation and purchasing skills/techniques to ensure quality, price, delivery, and service.
  • Designs, implements, manages and monitors procurement reporting systems to meet company requirements.
  • Reviews and resolves vendor claims and contracts for conformance to company policy.

Qualification:

  • 4-5 years of related purchasing /QA/Procurement experience with an impressive track record of accomplishments and continuous improvements in purchasing.
  • Experience in leveraging vendor relationships and achieving sizable cost savings from strategic cost reduction programs. Experience running negotiations through e-procurement.
  • Ability to work with numbers, calculations, attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, with limited supervision
  • Communication & Organization Skills- must have very good skills
  • Advanced Excel & BI experience.
  • Experience in handling halal certification.
  • Experience in handling ISO 22000

Must have:

  • Food industry Experience
  • Technical/Professional Qualification
  • B. Tech. / M. Sc. Food Technology/Equivalent. MBA is an added advantage.
  • Hindi Language fluency is mandatory.
