Responsibilities Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to understand their e-commerce requirements and translate them into technical specifications. Design, develop, and customize Shopify themes and templates to create visually appealing and user-friendly online stores. Implement and customize Shopify plugins and extensions to add desired functionality to the e-commerce website. Configure and integrate third-party applications and APIs to enhance the capabilities of the Shopify platform. Optimize website performance, including page load speed, responsiveness, and overall user experience. Conduct thorough testing and debugging to identify and resolve any issues or bugs in the website. Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in Shopify development and e-commerce industry standards. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers and marketers, to ensure seamless integration of design elements and marketing strategies into the website. Provide technical support and assistance to clients during the website development process and after the website launch. Manage and maintain the security, scalability, and stability of the e-commerce website. What we're looking for Proven experience as a Shopify developer or similar role, with a strong portfolio of past projects. Proficiency in web development languages and technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Liquid (Shopify's templating language). In-depth knowledge of Shopify platform, including themes, templates, plugins, and APIs. Experience in customizing and extending Shopify functionality using Liquid, Shopify's API, and app integrations. Familiarity with front-end frameworks such as Bootstrap or Foundation. Understanding of SEO best practices and ability to implement SEO techniques into the website. Knowledge of web design principles and ability to create visually appealing and user-friendly interfaces. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with clients and cross-functional teams.
