Join our Data Analytics team where you can design, develop and deliver analytical assets end to end.
In this varied role, youll be responsible for requirements gathering, technical development and project management while working with a range of stakeholders. In addition, you will be establishing yourself as an analytics expert in the Gurugram office, helping to provide thought leadership and develop/upskill team members as appropriate.
This role will give you the opportunity to work on a variety of projects with teams across our Risk Management Group, including those in financial and non-financial risk. You will be part of a global function with a global role, where you will work collaboratively to find creative solutions to business problems. Youll need to be able to communicate these to business stakeholders in both a technical and non-technical manner.
Youll bring with you relevant experience and track record of discovering, promoting and delivering analytical use cases. You will be comfortable presenting complex ideas and solution outcomes to a range of stakeholders as well as have the ability to step back from a problem and think of out-out-the-box solutions, demonstrated by examples from your commercial experience to date.
We are looking for prior education in Statistics, Engineering, Maths, Computer Science, Finance, Economics and/or any other relevant quantitative discipline. This includes a minimum bachelors degree qualification with strong academic performance and 10-15 years experience within a data engineering or data analytics capacity. Experience in individually leading data analytics projects/developments, managing stakeholders and visualising/presenting data using Power BI, Plotly, D3, Tableau, etc will be helpful.
Other experience required:
- advanced analytics to optimise processes, and identify and anticipate risks across financial (credit, market risk) and non-financial (compliance, behavioural, operational risk) areas
- statistical computer languages (R, Python, SQL, etc.) and tools (Alteryx) to manipulate data and draw insights from large data sets
- knowledge of a variety of machine learning techniques (clustering, decision tree learning, text mining, NLP, etc.) and their real-world advantages/drawbacks
- advanced statistical techniques and concepts (regression, properties of distributions, statistical tests and proper usage, etc.) and experience with applications.
- web services such as S3, Spark etc. and distributed data/computing tools such as Map/Reduce, Hadoop, Hive, Impala, etc. will be an added advantage.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to effectively tailor communications to a diverse range of business and technical stakeholder groups
- Well organised, self-starter who can manage a range of competing priorities and projects and a drive to learn and master new technologies and techniques.
