Join our Finance Platform Solutions team who areresponsible for delivering high quality, risk managed technology and data solutions for finance transformation initiatives to help teams reimagine how they work.
We have an excellent opportunity in the team for a process assurance team member with a strong background supporting system-based projects and change to join Macquarie's Financial Management Group as an Assistant Manager. The successful candidate would ideally have a background in finance or banking and be confident managing cross functional teams.
In this role you ll be an integral part of the team, responsible for the delivery of the assurance program and partnering with the global finance, reporting and data teams as well as business groups across Macquarie. You ll gain a thorough understanding of the operational risks inherent in the Risk Management Framework, support the assurance lead in developing a comprehensive assurance program to review the effectiveness of the controls as well as partner with management to identify opportunities for improvement.
You will prepare and agree on frameworks to manage risk and control for system enhancements and business as usual tasks. You will deploy framework and policies and ensure they are maintained and adhered to. You will ensure all changes to Fusion adhere to the design/build/test/train/deliver framework so risk is appropriately managed; and also ensure system enhancements and quarterly Oracle updates meet quality standards. You will ensure governance on GL data used in the Corporate Data Hub is assessed and approved for Macquarie wide GL data usage under EDM.
You will govern, review and enforce frameworks and team policy on transformation initiatives and Oracle monthly / quarterly releases and assist the process assurance team lead. You will be responsible for engagement with the Business Solution and Corporate Operations Group technology team to collect and review the applicable artefacts. You will partner with sponsors and connected delivery teams to meet requirements of the finance teams.
To be successful in this role you will have a degree qualification in either Finance (MBA) or Information Technology and a minimum 9-12 years of post-qualification experience. You will have experience working with major finance package technology vendors (e.g. Oracle and SAP). You will also have experience in stakeholder management skills. You will have the ability to coordinate multiple assignments and work independently and have strong communication skills and ability to explain complex technology concepts in non-technical terms. You must be highly motivated and exposure to process improvement and project management methodologies is preferred.
