Job Summary

. Position: GRE or Receptionist

. Qualification: Graduate or Batchelor degree in Hotel Management

. Experience: 1year or above (In Hospitality Industry)

Job Purpose

To provide guests with a warm welcome, smooth check-in/check-out experience, and courteous service, while ensuring front desk operations run efficiently and professionally.

Key Responsibilities

Guest Handling

• Welcome guests with a friendly and professional attitude.

• Handle guest check-ins, check-outs, and room allocations efficiently.

• Maintain proper guest registration records as per hotel policy.

• Provide accurate information about room tariffs, facilities, and local attractions.

• Manage guest complaints politely, escalating issues to the manager if needed.

Reservation & Communication

• Answer phone calls, emails, and online booking inquiries promptly.

• Take reservations and update room availability in the system.

• Coordinate with online travel agencies (OTAs) and walk-in guests for bookings.

• Maintain proper guest communication regarding special requests, check-in timings, etc.

Front Office Operations

• Maintain a neat and organized front desk and lobby area.

• Record guest data accurately in the hotel software/register.

• Handle billing, prepare invoices, and process cash, card, or UPI payments.

• Ensure proper key control and safety of guest belongings deposited at the front desk.

Coordination & Support

• Coordinate with housekeeping for room status updates (clean, occupied, vacant).

• Inform maintenance team of any guest complaints or equipment issues.

• Assist the manager in maintaining occupancy reports and daily revenue reports.

Professional Standards

• Follow grooming standards, wear uniform properly, and maintain professional behaviour.

• Maintain confidentiality of guest information.

• Follow hotel SOPs and safety/security guidelines.

Skills Required

• Good communication in English/Hindi/local language.

• Basic computer knowledge (MS Office, hotel PMS software).

• Cash handling and billing accuracy.

• Customer service orientation with patience and politeness.


Salary: 9k to 10
