Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and talented developer to join our rapidly expanding IT team. Working in collaboration with our Senior Web Developer and on your own you will support the development of the front-end and back-end of our public facing Drupal 8 CMS. You will ensure its performance meets a wide range of business objectives and work within an Agile SCRUM environment to maximise your impact to the team and wider organisation.

Key Skills

Strong knowledge of Drupal 8 Twig templates PHP 7 Git Strong knowledge of SCSS and SEO orientated front-end development MySQL Should have basic knowledge of Angular ( Min. 6 months)

Essential skills:
In-depth knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript and jQuery
OOP PHP development experience
Strong MySQL database knowledge Experience of integrating web services and RESTful APIs
Working knowledge of CSS pre-processors (SASS, LESS)
Comfortable working with debugging tools like Firebug, Chrome inspector, etc. Strong experience in responsive web practices
Use of version control systems (Git)

Other desirable skills include:
Experience developing web solutions in Drupal and PHP implementations in a LAMP environment
Experience creating custom Drupal modules
Experience of integrating websites and web applications with business systems such as CRM, Email and Payment Gateways
Appreciation of speed optimisation tools and techniques
Experience with automated testing
Thorough understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (e.g. Requirements, Design, Development, Testing) and exposure to Agile or iterative SDLCs.
Experience of working with stakeholders to decipher project requirements
Experience of moving a design from PDF to responsive HTML

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Supporting the technical implementation and the development of the public facing website
Work with the Senior Developer to provide scoping, testing, and development of technical solutions
Work within the Agile SCRUM process to support and manage the sprint backlog
Identifying and fixing issues both in production and development environments
Provide support to the Marketing team to understand, scope and develop/deliver solutions
Proactively engage and work with other members of the team to bring rounded understanding to your solutions
Immerse into the Agile process, ensuring high standards of quality and best practise and adding value to solutions when able.
