Senior System Administrator (10-12 years of experience)

We are looking for a professional with 10 to 12 years of experience in IT development, networking, system administration, and IT operations. The candidate must have experience in continuous integration and build/release/production deployments in large cloud/SaaS environments, Overall Cloud System Administration experience with AWS, and in-depth knowledge of Centos/Redhat and FreeBSD operating systems. Based in Vadodara, India, your focus will be on on building and supporting a world-class cloud infrastructure.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Assist with the building and maintaining of Linux system in the cloud
• Develop scripts to support continuous integration technologies and processes
• Help troubleshoot application, network errors and performance issues
• Provide after hours, on-call and escalation support of lnfoDesk s 24 7 cloud hosting environment, including system outages and incident response
• Create training documentation and take part in the team s cross-training program
• Stay up-to-date on new technologies to improve the quality and efficiency of our technology operations
• Meet key performance indicators and SLA s set by upper management
• Troubleshoot technical incidents that come from the Customer Support Team
• Maintain and upgrade local infrastructure for employees as needed
• Collaborate with cross functional stakeholders, participate in engineering activities to ensure consistently high levels of quality and productivity, and provide timely and accurate estimates for deliverables
• Work closely with Development and QA teams to maintain & enhance staging and production environments to meet uptime, performance, and security goals
• Work towards continually improving operational processes and procedures
• Be a technology leader in service redundancy, scalability, server hardening, patching, and security

Required Skills:

• 6 or more years of relevant professional experience in IT development, networking, system administration, and IT operations; must have experience in continuous integration and build/release/production deployments in large cloud/SaaS environments
• Experienced in DevOps function
• Overall Cloud System Administration experience with AWS
• In-depth knowledge of Centos/Redhat and FreeBSD operating systems.
• Working knowledge of Jboss/Tomcat app servers
• Working knowledge of Apache/Nginx/HAProxy.
• Working knowledge of CI servers like Jetty/Chef/Puppet
• Working knowledge of versioning system like svn/cvs/git
• Ability to script in either Perl, Bash, or Python
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Experience managing firewalls and networks in a secure IPSEC, or VPN enabled environment
• Quick learner and eagerness to learn new technology and tools
• Problem solving attitude
• High attention to detail and the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
• Superior verbal and written communication skills

Additional Skills:

• AWS, Linux Certification
• Administration experience in PostgreSQL
• Working knowledge of ZFS, NFS and LVM
