Job Summary
  • Perform pipe support design & calculations for statically and dynamically loaded supports.
  • Generate drawings of pipe support in E3D/Plant3D/AutoCAD for the Process Piping and Structural teams.
  • Must be experienced in preparing/developing/maintaining the Standard Pipe Support Catalogue on the Project.
  • Highly experienced in preparing Special Support Sketch/Drawing/Details from scratch & completing them with complete details/annotations for Construction/Fabrication of the support at site as per Client expectations.
  • Experienced in Selection of pipe supports.
  • Experienced in use of all types of hangers/struts/spring supports/ expansion bellows/etc.
  • Knowledge of pipe supporting for SS, Alloy (High temp piping) & vibration susceptible piping.
  • Work with Structural Designers to incorporate pipe support details into structural drawing sets where applicable.
  • Update Master Specifications for pipe supports at the direction of the Pipe Stress and Structural Engineers, e.g. updating span tables, etc.
  • Model pipe supports in 3D model for clash check & inclusion in piping isometric drawings.
  • Assign properties and attributes to pipe support families to make content more accurate for Support MTOs.
  • Generate MTO for supports including steel, brackets, bolts, clips, etc. Troubleshoot exports when errors are found or suspected.
  • Review piping isometrics for accuracy and ensure bill of materials included in isometric drawings are correct.
  • Ensure pipe support content exports accurately to .pcf files for pipe stress analysis in Caesar II.
  • To develop junior piping support engineers by providing them proper trainings as and when required.
Minimum qualification requirement

Required - standard & Special Pipe Supports skill with 10+ years experience

Preferred - piping Design & Layout skill with 5+ years experience

Preferred - Located in Coimbatore

Required - Good command over English
