What lands you in this role: Release Planning and Coordination: Work closely with product managers, development teams, DevOps team, and quality assurance to plan and schedule software releases. Create and maintain release calendars, ensuring alignment with project timelines and customer expectations. Coordinate and communicate release plans to all relevant stakeholders. Quality Assurance: Collaborate with QA teams to define test plans and ensure thorough testing of software components before release. Manage and track issues and bugs, ensuring resolution before release. Deployment and Monitoring: Oversee deployment processes, ensuring successful and smooth releases. Monitor and track the progress of releases, identifying and mitigating risks and issues that may arise during deployment. Implement and maintain release automation tools and processes to streamline deployments. CR/ER Tracking and Management: Manage and document change requests, ensuring that changes are properly evaluated, approved, and tracked. Implement change control processes to minimize the impact of changes on existing systems. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed release documentation, including release notes, known issues, and deployment procedures. Provide regular reports on release status and performance metrics to senior management. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve release processes, automation, and efficiency. Lead post-release reviews to capture lessons learned and drive process enhancements Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Working knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies, particularly Agile and DevOps. Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple releases simultaneously. Good To Have: Proficiency in release automation tools and version control systems. Strong problem-solving and communication skills. Knowledge of industry best practices in release management. Experience with cloud platforms and containerization technologies is a plus.
