Role Description:

• Architecture and Design of Database
• Understand current state of architecture for database
• Recommend target state architecture for Multi cloud
• Design data migration strategy for data and recommend tools
• Understand performance issues in database and recommend solutions
• Review and validate the BOM, assess client's requirements, and product's specifications/features.
• Create the required artifacts (design document, diagrams, run book, ASD, HLD, LLD, etc.)
• Design the Migration Plan solution
• Work closely with customer and internal teams to gather business and technical requirements.
• Accountable for successful delivery of highly complex, multi-disciplined consulting engagements that deliver lasting and measurable value to clients
• Develop a point of view, capture, prioritize and analyze technical (functional and non-functional) requirements
• Possess strong leadership skills and further the evolution of intellectual capital assets and developing architectural resources
• Apply Architectural Methods and Techniques.
• Manage the technical architectural contract terms and conditions
• Educate, mentor and coach teams in applying architectural techniques
• Facilitate and capture lessons learned from projects to update methodologies and assets
• Develop a point of view, capture, prioritize and analyze technical (functional and non-functional) requirements
• Be a recognized as a technical though leader inside and outside of IBM
• Support company initiatives for offerings, contracts, technologies, and go-to-market
• Set priorities to build technical architectural and project assets/deliverables for repurposing
• Successfully lead Customer s migration and transformation projects

• Minimum of 12+ years of experience in IT industry
• Knowledge of Cloud Providers e.g. IBM, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, or VMware.
• Experience with Server Platforms (Windows, Linux, or UNIX)
• Experience with Virtualization Infrastructures (Hyper-V, VMWare, etc.)
• Database Architect Experience for multiple databases DB2 , Oracle, MS SQL , MongoDB, MySQL, Postgres, Maria DB
• Experience with Cloud database re-platforming (e.g., AWS RDS, Azure SQL)
• Good understanding in core tenants to be considered when designing, developing & deploying to a Cloud.
• Hands on expertise and experience for Cloud Migration projects
• Understanding of up-to-date Network architecture concepts and system integration principles including high-end routers / switches, Network & Security, Network Virtualization, Cloud Network Deployments, and other related infrastructure and system components.

• Deep experience in server or virtualization platform
• Storage (IBM/EMC/HP/Hitachi/NetApp)
• Applied Azure and/or AWS infrastructure engineering and designing skills
• Applied Azure and/or AWS migration solutions
• MS Windows Server Fundamentals or equivalent
• IBM AIX, Linux, RHEL, UNIX Fundamentals or equivalent
• Azure, AWS Cloud, GCP, and VMware Certifications

Project Experience:

• Leading teams towards an outcome and break down impediments
• Applied Implementation Hands on using Methods and/or best practices to deliver Cloud, On-Premises or Hybrid Solution
• Applied Mature Architecture design framework, principles and methodologies (high-level technical design, low-level technical design, and technical solution design integration)
