Roles and responsibilities:
What you will be doing
Supporting, coaching and developing high performing engineers through regular 1:1s, continuous feedback and relationships with team leads
Working within a interdisciplinary squad with a product manager and tech lead to ensure a high-performing team that consistently and iteratively delivers high-impact, high-quality work
Contributing to management best practices: helping us become an exceptional place to work for the ambitious, highly motivated people that we hire
Partnering with senior engineers to drive technical initiatives that improve our engineering practices
Participating in technical design, driving engineering initiatives and owning product quality. Actively shaping & influencing product strategy.
Acting as point person for the team, when interfacing with Product, Customer Service, peer engineering teams and other parts of the organization.
Making and meeting commitments to quality and on-pace delivery of new product features.
Providing clear communication to your team, and the business about the progress and vision.
You should apply if you have
Experience in designing and building large scale web services.
Prior experience of managing a team of at least 5 to 10 members as an EM.
Hands- on experience in designing and developing highly scalable and fault tolerant backend systems and frontend components. Prefer MERN tech stack.
Experience in SPA and PWA.
Experience in Micro-frontend concepts.
Have a good working knowledge about AWS cloud architecture.
Have strong understanding of Devops best practices along with multi-branch pipeline strategy.
Have a strong understanding of application security standards and best practices.
Hands on experience in designing and building micro services and familiarity with cloud native landscape
Experience in developing video infrastructure at large scale will be an added advantage.
8+ years of experience in managing or mentoring the performance and development of high-performing engineers.
A strong understanding of agile software practices
