Job Summary

Roles and responsibilities:


What you will be doing

  • Supporting, coaching and developing high performing engineers through regular 1:1s, continuous feedback and relationships with team leads

  • Working within a interdisciplinary squad with a product manager and tech lead to ensure a high-performing team that consistently and iteratively delivers high-impact, high-quality work

  • Contributing to management best practices: helping us become an exceptional place to work for the ambitious, highly motivated people that we hire

  • Partnering with senior engineers to drive technical initiatives that improve our engineering practices

  • Participating in technical design, driving engineering initiatives and owning product quality. Actively shaping & influencing product strategy.

  • Acting as point person for the team, when interfacing with Product, Customer Service, peer engineering teams and other parts of the organization.

  • Making and meeting commitments to quality and on-pace delivery of new product features.

  • Providing clear communication to your team, and the business about the progress and vision.


You should apply if you have

  • Experience in designing and building large scale web services.

  • Prior experience of managing a team of at least 5 to 10 members as an EM.

  • Hands- on experience in designing and developing highly scalable and fault tolerant backend systems and frontend components. Prefer MERN tech stack.

  • Experience in SPA and PWA.

  • Experience in Micro-frontend concepts.

  • Have a good working knowledge about AWS cloud architecture.

  • Have strong understanding of Devops best practices along with multi-branch pipeline strategy.

  • Have a strong understanding of application security standards and best practices.

  • Hands on experience in designing and building micro services and familiarity with cloud native landscape

  • Experience in developing video infrastructure at large scale will be an added advantage.

  • 8+ years of experience in managing or mentoring the performance and development of high-performing engineers.

  • A strong understanding of agile software practices

  • An empathetic leadership style and you build strong, effective relationships

  • Care deeply about helping others achieve their goals, avoid burnout, and become the best engineers they can be.
