Job Description - Director of Engineering

Looking for an experienced and motivated professional to be an integral part of its core product team. As a Director of Engineering, you will be responsible for leading the engineering charter of products that are part of the Company's Platform in the goodness space. You would be leading a team of Managers, Principal Engineer and Tech Leads for delivering scalable, robust and performant products.

What we are looking for :-

• Looking for person with 10+ years of solid experience in Engineering and Engineering Management of having developed products from scratch preferably in a Startup including development experience on MEAN/MERN Stack
• Strong Architectural & Design skills
• Strong in coding, Data Structures and Algorithms
• Expertise in developing RESTful APIs using Node.js/Python and its frameworks like Sails, Moleculer, Loopback
• Knowledge of databases like MySQL, MongoDB, Redis and search indexes Elasticsearch/Solr etc.
• Experience in Cloud Service Providers like AWS, Azure, GCP etc.
• Understanding of multiple delivery platforms, such as mobile vs. web and developing responsive UI.
• Should have a strong focus on quality, snalability and performance of the product
• Should have a positive attitude and a proven track record of leading, hiring, strong teams of engineers and have the skills for mentoring and developing great people along with the skills for developing great products
• Should have good experience in project management in an Agile software development in a fast paced setup preferably in start-ups
• Solid hands-on experience and desire to build customer-centric products and work closely with Product Management and UX teams to achieve that
• Knowledge in testing tools like Selenium, TestNG, JUnit, Cypress, Protractor, Jasmine or Mocha, Jest and Enzyme, JMeter, Jenkins, SonarQube Postman or similar and equivalent tools would be great for working closely with the quality and testing teams

Role & Responsibilities :-

• Build customer facing technology product for Company's global customers
• End to end ownership of the Product's frontend and backend development, building reusable, testable, and scalable components and products
• Research, evaluate, analyse and implement technical requirements and guide the team for arriving at the right technical decisions
• Collaborate with product management teams to define and implement innovative solutions for the product direction, visuals and experience
• Hire and Mentor Junior members of the team
• Work with a performance-oriented team members driven by ownership and open to experiments
• Fast paced Start-up environment
• Make a difference by helping our customers achieve goals for towards CSR, Sustainability and Volunteering
• Preferably looking for candidates from Startup / Enterprise Product Companies - B2B
• Min 2 + years of experience in Leadership role. Involved in team handling, Appraisal &stakeholder Management
