In this role, you will: Act as trusted advisor for the senior management of the supported remit area on how to properly manage their operational risk and all items related (Risk assessments, Control environment, issues management Manage the promotion of accountable risk and control decision-making based on quality data and commercial analysis Leading efforts to continuously improve the control environment and monitoring of risk, including behaviors Actively challenge poor, inefficient or excessive controls, related tasks and behaviors Provide remit area Senior Management with updates on any relevant changes to policy or projects related to operational risk that have an impact on their area of responsibility. Promote desired behaviors and a positive risk culture across the remit area and Responsible for embedding risk and control management framework and governance. Oversee the end-to-end health of the control environment for GDT and Architecture. Instigate and manage initiatives to drive improvements to the control environment Provide risk and controls consultancy, advice and guidance to GDT and Architecture team. Requirements To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements: Strong knowledge of Operational Risk Management Framework Strong knowledge on Architecture principles & practices, Data Management, Data Technologies and Platforms Flexible and adaptable being able to handle and priorities competing demands in a fast-paced environment Strong communication skills to be able influence and challenge stakeholders Knowledge and understanding of the HSBC Group organization is desirable. Ability to deliver Insightful Risk and control Information Influencing, explaining and managing effective design, analysis and remediation of control measures Able to help analyze complex situations and provide support in influencing them Ability to drill down to root cause and provide input to write/review clearly articulated risk documentation The successful candidate will also meet the following requirements: Ability to provide Technology, Infrastructure, Cyber & Information Security and Data control expertise is desirable Knowledge and understanding of the HSBC Group organization is desirable Planning and project management skill Proficient with using Excel, Macros and PowerPoint, dashboards etc Experience in leading IT risk and control projects Hands on experience on risk and control management tools and process Certifications CISA, CISM, CISSP, CRISC, COBIT or ITIL desirable
