Hogarth Worldwide, Chennai is looking for a Front End Developer who is self-motivated to combine the art of design with the latest frameworks of programming.
The ideal candidate is self-motivated to combine the art of design with the latest frameworks of programming. The Front-end Developer is primarily responsible for the development of interactive campaigns for display media, building dynamic content loading frameworks, robust web and mobile applications, key player in the translation of creative design in to actual code and taking an active role in bridging the gap between visual design and technical implementation with focus on brand quality and consistency.
Key tasks and responsibilities include:
- Analyse the campaign/project requirement, brand guidelines, functional specifications and build appropriate products and/or solutions
- Build reusable code and libraries
- Ensure technical feasibility of visual designs
- Optimise application for maximum speed, scalability and performance
- A quick learner with the ability to develop and deliver required brand knowledge
- Work cohesively with Project Managers, Technical Lead, production and QA teams to ensure deliverables are to time and quality
- Proactive in nature, identifying the risks, issues and improvement opportunities, and communicate through appropriate channels
- Directly responsible for the technical and creative quality of Hogarth s Digital products
- Responsible for contributing to central pool of technical knowledge and sharing of best practices with other staff
- Staying abreast of digital methodologies and technologies in the industry, and ensure continuous learning and improvement of self
Requirements
- Between 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar role in the marketing creative, advertisement, or digital agencies
- Passionate in building UI designs for online display ads and web/mobile applications
Must have:
- Proficient understanding of web markup language, specifically HTML5, CSS3
- Ability to build JavaScript libraries hand-coded from scratch
- Hands-on and in-depth understanding of client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks, including jQuery, Angular JS and other popular media queries
- Hands-on experienced in converting visual designs into interactive code using appropriate scripts and frameworks
- Knowledgeable in object-oriented scripting, with best practice approach
- Understanding of usability concerns and experience in delivering standard compliant (W3C, XHTML) code
- Good communication skills, and interpersonal skills under demanding timescales and clients
Good to have:
- Excellent knowledge in building responsive web templates, with a mobile-first approach
- Confident personality with a can-do service attitude
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Able to adapt to new working methods & practice technology advances
- Be able to work independently as well as inclusively in a team
- Positive and proactive attitude towards problem solving, tight deadlines, and mostly importantly in supporting colleagues
Preferred:
- Experience in using ad-serving platforms like DoubleClick, Sizmek, Celtra, and emailer templates
- Knowledge in server-side languages like PHP, Node JS
- Experience in developing UI for CMS-based websites and eCommerce sites
