Planning Specialist Job in Grundfos Pumps India Private Ltd.

Grundfos India Production Plant is seeking an experienced Planning Specialist to join Supply Chain team in Chennai Plant. The Planning Specialist will be responsible of supply planning and purchase activities, to support requirements and managing stocks according to the company's policy and established objectives. The planning speciaist provides operational support for Grundfos supply chain, through process improvements or advanced analytics.This position reports directly to the DC Manager at Chennai Plant.

Key Accountabilities

• Convert purchase requisition to purchase orders for direct materials through SAP against the schedule.
• Review the open purchase orders and follow up with the Import and Local suppliers for on-time delivery.
• Facilitate the purchasing team with the necessary forecast for raw materials and for maintaining sufficient inventory levels across the value chain.
• Should be familiar in SAP MM module and maintain MM data in SAP within the area of responsibility
• Ensure a steady flow of materials by co-ordinating with CHA & Forwarders to meet the delivery schedule.
• Suggest appropriate changes in maintaining the correct Re-order level, MOQ and ROV based on the demand.
• Ensure supply chain processes meet legal requirements and standards
• Maintaining documentation and keeping accurate records of supply chain activities.
• Co-ordinate with warehousing, quality and other cross functional team to ensure all products arrive on time and in good condition

Required

• Must be a bachelor s degree graduate preferably in Mechanical Engineering.
• Must have at least 4~5 years of experience of proven track record in supply chain
• Knowledge in ERP system (SAP MM module).
• Basic knowledge of impo & expo

Competencies

• Understanding of purchasing -, material- and stock management and the connection to production planning (supply chain management).
• Strong mathematics skills and the uses practically.
• Knowledge on how to make process mapping.
