Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
o Perform basic descriptive data analysis
o Implement and assess different ways of data transformation
o Formulate business problems into math/statistics/machine-learning problems
o Build math/statistics/machine-learning models in a scientific way
o Carry out hypothesis tests in a scientific way
o Do model selection and model diagnostics
o Actively participate in research meetings
o Support the research team by creating desired datasets
Qualifications:
o Good communication skills
o Excellent analytical and data science skills with strong attention to detail
o Good Python programmers with good knowledge of pandas/numpy/sklearn
o Graduate level math and statistics knowledge is preferred
o Knowledge in machine learning, NLP knowledge is a plus
o Ability to communicate complex information clearly
o Ability to work independently
o Team player and open to new ideas
