POSITION DESCRIPTION

The Sr. Database Developer will support applications developed for the firm and will utilize a solid understanding of Business Systems development using SQL Server, reporting services, integration services, and database design; In this role, the Database Developer will demonstrate teamwork, initiative, and support skills to assist business end-users with custom applications; and will play a key role in the development of new SQL Databases and Financial Systems.

POSITION RESPONSIBITIES

Major responsibilities of the profile, but not limited to, shall be:

• Maintain and provide production support for existing financial SQL database systems.
• Design and develop new systems for Finance, Accounting, Billing, Legal & Compliance, HR and other teams supported by Finance Technology.
• Design and implementation of automated validations from various source systems. Senior Database Developer Location Gurgaon, HR
• Maintenance and building of new interfaces to/from SQL databases, including those sourced from Hyperion ASO/BSO Cubes, Data Relationship Manager (DRM), SAP, Revport Billing System, and PeopleSoft HR.
• Requirements gathering and documentation for database modifications.
• Design, test, and implementation of database modifications to the agreed upon specifications.

EXPERIENCE AND REQUIRED SKILLS

• Minimum of five years or more of current versions of SQL database development experience using SQL.
• Minimum of five years or more of experience supporting Financial SQL databases.
• Bachelor s degree in related discipline or combination of education and experience.
• Experience using SSIS importing text files and XML files. Using Loop containers and package configurations.
• Working knowledge of the following functions using current SQL versions:
  • T-SQL, including transactions, begin, try, merge, common table expressions, ROW_NUMBER/OVER, bulk insert, FT searching
  • Partitioned tables/indexes (Switching/Merging/Splitting)
  • Performance tuning/code debugging
  • Replication (transactional)
  • Reporting Services (SSRS) which would include creating reports, handling, permissions, installing, configuring and troubleshooting
  • OLAP/SSAS
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team to accomplish critical, time sensitive business objectives.
• Experience communicating effectively with vendors and end-users.
• Experience working well under pressure and handling multiple tasks, challenges, and aggressive deadlines in a fast paced and professional environment.
• Prior experience in the Asset Management industry is desired.
• Experience training non-technical end users how to load SQL data using Microsoft tools a plus.
• Experience using Team Foundation Server (for source control) is a plus
• Experience using ODI integrating SQL and non-SQL targets, (Hyperion, SAP, flat files etc.) is a plus.
• Experience with Hyperion Planning SQL databases.
