Job Summary

Galaxy is an exciting coterie of design enthusiasts, who strive to deliver the best of breed services. We are looking for a creative interaction designer who is proficient in bettering interaction between users and computers, frequently known as human-computer interaction .

Technical Skills:

  • A minimum of seven years of visual design or interaction designor UX Designexperience, and work that demonstrates expertise in this niche.
  • Proven work samples of responsive grid-based layouts. Strong work portfolio that demonstrates systematic and creative design thinking as well as a deep understanding of UI/UX best practices.
  • In-depth knowledge of design principles including unity, Gestalt properties, space, hierarchy, balance, contrast, scale, dominance, similarity, and sense of color.
  • Expert in user-centered design (UCD), information architecture (IA), interaction design (IDX), wireframing and prototyping.
  • Experience working with large data sets, data visualization and dashboards.
  • Understand user needs through various research methodologies and interpretation of data analytics.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and familiarity with technical constraints and limitations as they apply to design for platforms such as desktop and mobile.
  • Ability to synthesize user, technical and design requirements into highly usable applications.
  • Have a great eye for design and be an empathetic advocate for the user.
  • Ability to solve complex problems via design in a clean, clear, and efficient manner.
  • Excellent analytical abilities, especially about understanding user behavior and design theories.
  • Strong experience working side-by-side with engineers and product managers to build intuitive designs.
  • Great communication and presentation skills that speak to a broad range of audiences.
  • Advanced design & prototyping skills; we use Sketch, Photoshop, Illustrator, and we are open to experimenting with other tools that can help the team.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with a multi-disciplinary team to deliver compelling UX solutions, while being capable of acknowledging limitations and trade-offs. Negotiate design requirements with Product Managers and Engineering Leads.
  • Analyzing complex product and consumer requirements and creating designs that maximize the product s potential.
  • Gather sprint requirements from clients and help the team in adhering to the brand guidelines & maintain quality.
  • Applying user-centered design processes to product development, and conducting user research after release to test product performance.
  • Proficiency in creation of experience maps, user scenarios, mockups and flows.
  • Staying abreast of new design trends and looking for creative ideas to inculcate in product.
  • Strong ability to be a thought partner/ coach to clients and internal teams.
  • The demonstrablewill to solve problems, big and small, glamorous or not for all kinds of users.
  • Understanding the importance of setting aside the time and space to learn and grow your design practice.
  • Experience working in the healthcare domain with design control, regulatory practices, and standards for medical devices or similar regulated industry is an asset.
  • Design for the extremes and produce an array of divergent design solutions informed by a wide variety of data sources.
  • Evaluate proposed design solutions against pre-determined quality and success criteria and be able to articulate the rationale behind design decisions.
  • Produce a wide variety of design artifacts from Interaction Models to pixel-perfect designs to effectively communicate design concepts.
  • Work closely with researchers to plan research activities and uncover unmet needs and constantly validate that the design solutions meet all safety requirements.
  • Partner with design peers to develop and evolve the long-term UX strategy for our internal tools to ensure UX is always at the heart of every development.
  • Actively engage with other designers to give and solicit feedback to continually ensure that design solution.

Qualification :
BE / B.Tech / MCA / M.Tech / ME / MSc
