Ui / Ux Designer Job in Basecamp Startups Pvt. Ltd

We are looking for a talented UI Designer who can create amazing user experiences (UX) for web as well as mobile application users. The candidate should have an eye for clean and artful design, possess superior UI skills and be able to translate high-level requirements into intuitive and functional user interfaces.

Minimum Qualifications

• Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a web/mobile application UI designer
• Should understand the concept of responsive design and dynamic serving
• Strong understanding of mobile platforms, particularly iOS, Android and Windows Phone7
• Expert in Photoshop, Illustrator, Fireworks and Dreamweaver
• Front end Technologies: In-depth knowledge of HTML5 and CSS3, and at least some JavaScript/JQuery
• Comfortable in creating wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows and site maps
• Conceptual understanding of UI and UX
• Excellent time-management, multi-tasking, and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• A portfolio to exhibit UI skills
• Good eye for aesthetics: layout, grid systems, color theory and typography
• Understanding of the limitations of web and mobile, with approaches to flex those boundaries
• Candidate must absolutely be in sync with recent design standards and trends
• Education/training in interaction design would be an added advantage
• Good communication skills
• Able to deliver within the time constraint

Job Responsibilities

• Understand stakeholder s requirement and convert it into appealing and highly usable interfaces
• Conceptualize original ideas that bring simplicity and user friendliness to complex design roadblocks
• Collaborate with product management and engineering teams to define and implement innovative solutions for the product visuals and experience
• Develops understanding of the end users of the website/application through secondary and primary research (user interviews, traffic data). Capable of generating user personas and user scenarios
• Prepares prototypes of sites/features (wireframes or interactive prototypes) for internal review and brain storming
• Capable of assessing technical feasibility of the prototype
• Able to explain his/her design philosophy
• Establish and promote design guidelines, best practices and standards
