Job Summary

Job Function:

FutureWorks is looking for an Assistant Pipeline TD who will perform daily tasks to ensure the smooth running of tools, software and workflows used on our VFX and Feature Animation shows. You will be working closely with the Pipeline/ CG teams and support our artists.

Special Objective:

Provide technical advice and support for artists
Monitor file publishing and transfers, render farm, disk usage
Contribute to testing and feedback for software released internally
Design and write Python tools and scripts for shows to use

Requirements

Job Specifications:

An aptitude for technical tasks is required and an ability to accurately communicate problems between developers and non-technical artists will help you thrive in this role.
You will be exposed to every step of our pipeline and will be involved in the production of VFX and animation work on projects from film and television.
This role opens up opportunities to progress through the company's Pipeline team, with potential opportunities to specialize in different departments across the company.

You have:

Python scripting skills are a must
Experience with Linux
Knowledge of Autodesk Maya

You might also have:

Work experience in Visual Effects, Computer Graphics, Games or another related industry
Experience with DCC packages such as Maya, Nuke, Houdini, Katana etc.
