Job Summary
  • Responsible for performing the RTL and VHDL/Verilog coding procedures including the FPGA enforcement processes.
  • Evaluate and make decisions around the use of new or existing technologies and tools.
  • Guide/mentor junior members on the team
  • Work with internal/external stakeholders to drive company-wide solutions
  • Perform his tasks in close relation with the software engineers and DSP design engineers.
  • Required to perform the job of producing digital circuit designs that can work at an advanced speed limit at various board levels
  • Review of project specifications for new features
  • Looks after the sustenance and improvement of the designing procedures that are associated with the aspect of security
  • During the execution of hardware enhancement phases, the FPGA design engineer is required to provide adequate laboratory assistance to other professionals of the department
  • Execute the FPGA verification and simulation activities
  • Required to maintain a record of the projects and control over the various configurations of the projects
  • Need to maintain an effective means of communication among the intra-department and inter-department personnel

The main requirements of an FPGA design engineer are given below:

  • Engineer with degree in computer science, electronics, electrical engineering, or any other field that is pertinent to the industry
  • 12+years of experience in FPGA and SOC development.
  • In-depth knowledge of Signal processing and Digital design concepts.
  • Good knowledge in architectural design like RTL design, verification, and timing analysis.
  • Exposure to Xilinx/Intel soc platforms and Prototyping software is a plus
  • Knowledgeable about the high-speed interfaces and integrated CPU
  • Experience in SystemVerilog and VHDL/Verilog.
  • Experience in EDA tools from Intel, Xilinx, Mentor graphics or equivalent.
  • Experience in creating Test benches and class-based verification methodologies.
