Job Summary

About the role

Seated at the intersection of product, digital / social content & marketing teams, this integral role will forge new pathways for driving conversion for the Flipkart Video OTT platform.

As the Lead for Content & Engagement Marketing for Flipkart Video, youll drive greater engagement (measured byactive viewers, CTR & time spent) for the video platform.

You will leverage your content marketing experience andwill be the owner for curating acquired content on the platform, optimising the right widgets and employing the right marketing tools (copy, design & creative) to drive growth in viewer metrics.

You willdeepen user engagement throughplanning & executing in app campaigns, programming acquired content & new launches as well as feeds. In doing so,you will combine data backed decision making with an eye for detail & thinking out of the box.

You will be part of the category marketing team for video and will report to the Video Marketing Head.

This role is both strategic & operational & does not have any direct reports to begin with.

About the team

The Flipkart Video team is a lean and new team that is reimagining entertainment for the mobile world. The team has built & launched the Flipkart Video Platform from scratch collaborating with the technical teams to shape & define the consumer experience.

Flipkart Video is an Ad Supported Video On Demand Platform which aggregates & acquirescontent from other content platforms such as Voot, Eros Now among others. The USP of the platform is interactivity and gamification which it demonstrated through recent Original launches such as Backbenchers, Entertainer No 1 & Kya Bolti Public.

Flipkart Video has also produced a series of short movies - Zindagi In Short - which was released tocritical acclaim and built capability to stream live news & music concerts.

The team is working towards building & scaling the 2.0 version of the platform focussing on enhancing features tooffer a curated & personalised experience, offering short form snacky content fusing games & video and leveraging product capability to enable creators to build and share directly on the platform.

What youll do

Bridge digital content marketing & creative strategies to reimagine the video platform & drive viewer engagement

Lead the creative, content focussed marketing strategy on Flipkart Video Platform to maximise organic traffic & conversion

Leverage existing consumption data to build a net incremental watch time model for VOD

Improve content conversion outcomes using merchandising levers informed by existing consumption data and improvement experiments (A/B on images, description & title meta, placement, type of widget, design)

Reimage the platform thinking both strategically & tactically about audience & business needs, understanding product design mechanics, sherpharding compelling packaging & presentation of content, tracking metrics & dissecting information & championing product experience improvements.

Working cross functionally with other teams such as Operations & Product Management, manage launch of new shows & experiences end to end on the platform from a creative design & experience perspective

Devise & manage a calendar of new, recurring content campaigns of varying sizes & frequency includingspecific initiative based campaigns around tentpole events

Iterate in a scalable fashion at a rapid pace

Partner with the Products team to contribute to the product strategy and support product vision

Drive and help build features to promote content virality on social media



What youll need

8-12 years experience in content marketing or social media marketing

Work experience with a digital OTT platform, online platform or social media agency

Proven track record in delivering success via organic content on social & digital platforms

Passion for merging media trends, product experience & technology, especially social platform products

Deep understanding of digital, OTT & social media metrics

Understands best practices of content led marketing, product marketing & effective use of social media channels

Attention to detail, right brain left brain mix and balance of analytical & creative thinking

Expert presentation skills & project management

Start up mentality - entrepreneurial with a roll up sleeves attitude

High bias for action, ability to think laterally & innovate Collaborative, with experience of working in a cross-functional team environment with multiple internal & external teams

Comfort working in a fast paced, dynamic and often ambiguous environment where multi tasking & prioritising is highly essential

Passionate about content - able to analyse & present content in a highly creative & convincing fashion Superior written & verbal communication skills & design sensibility

Good undergrad degree, MBA from top 10 college a plus
