Demonstrated Abilities/Skills

Must have demonstrated ability to:

• Create content in a various medium such as documents, video, presentations, whitepapers, technical blogs / articles, flow charts, workflows, lab guides etc.
• Independently gather information from subject matter experts to develop, organize, and write feature documentation, API documentation, architectural and configuration documentation.
• Actively participate in all scrum meetings and collaborate effectively with key stakeholders and subject matter experts.
• Understand how existing users are using the product, and continuously update the documentation to help users find the answers or to complete the task on product or address common concerns.
• Work with the product development team and technical writing team to get necessary collateral items designed in a way that best explains a given concept
• Demonstrate best practices for content development, design, and user experience within an agile software development environment.
• Own the end-to-end authoring process: design, development, editing, production, translation, and life cycle management.
• Evaluate content requests and work with stakeholders, such as Product Management, Engineering teams, delivery, and support teams to understand the business problem, goals, and desired outcomes.
• Before documentation test / evaluate product features by testing API responses, workflows, jobs, SQL queries , data validations, UI validation etc.
• Propose process improvements, coordinate, and execute content development and user experience strategy.

Qualifications

Required qualifications

• Bachelor s degree or equivalent in computer science
• 5+ years of experience documenting SaaS products, Cloud based solutions, data driven client facing products or enterprise-class client/service software
• Prior experience working on ServiceNow is must.
• Confirmed understanding on tools such as Wiki, Confluence, Adobe products, MS-Word, Agile methodology
• Experience using standard desktop publishing, online help, documentation, and screen capture tools such as FrameMaker, RoboHelp, and SnagIt, Wiki, Confluence, Adobe products, MS-Word etc. is highly desirable.
• Ability to use HTML to create new content using existing style sheets and to revise existing HTML content is desirable.
• Experience with any public cloud like AWS, Azure, GCP, scripting or programming language is desired. Knowledge of RDBMS, SQL/ NOSQL is plus.
• Experience in working with Agile teams following latest DevOps practices like CICD (Continuous Integration and Continuous Development)
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment on a continuously changing product
• Hands on experience in testing of the product, and detailing the UI/product behavior
• Experience with campaign tools is highly preferred
• Bachelor s degree in English, Writing, Liberal Arts (or related technical field), or must be enrolled in appropriate degree program in English, Communications, Journalism, Information Design, or related discipline.
• Certification in Technical Writing, Information Design, or related area highly desirable.
