About Elucidata:

Our mission is to make data-driven understanding of disease the default starting point in the drug discovery process. Our products & services further the understanding of the ways in which diseased cells are different from healthy ones. This understanding helps scientists discover new drugs in a more effective manner and complements the move towards personalization.

Biological big data will outpace data generated by YouTube and Twitter combined by 10x in the next 7 yrs. 1 experiment can produce TBs of data. A single sequenced human genome is 140 GBs. 20 petabytes of information exist in only one data repository. And this repository doubles every year. We're solving these challenges combining web technologies, big-data analytics and scalable cloud computing infrastructure.

Our platform, Polly, will be the Google Map of cells. Polly enables scientists to get to better answers faster. Polly is being used at multiple Fortune 500 companies like Pfizer; and leading academic labs at Yale, MIT, UCLA etc.

About our engineering team

As a part of the Engineering team, you will be contributing to developing applications on our cloud platform. You will get an opportunity to innovate, design and build the cutting edge tools that will help improve human health.

What you will do:

Technically own an entire line of products

Define and compare the application architecture as per the requirement

Take ownership of complex software architectures, operational metrics, and running the day to day operations of the business.

Define the interaction between different applications at systems level architecture

Ramp-up team and provide architectural blueprints and technical leadership to our product engineering team

Work closely with the peers and product managers to develop the best technical design and approach for new product development.

Contribute to the senior management team, guide strategic decisions and resource allocation.

Attract and retain top engineering talent. Ensure engineering excellence and rigor in architecture, execution, and delivery. Mentor and develop leaders within your team.

Desired candidate:

5+ years of experience designing and building web applications (back-end)

Proficient with software development languages e.g. Python, Django framework familiar with Cloud Infrastructure Setup and management:AWS/EC2/ELB/S3/DynamoDB, Apache Cassandra etc.

Exposure to building solutions based on Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning and Big Data tools like Hadoop, Spark etc.
